I think I want some Red Wing Iron Rangers - the vintage looking boots. I won't be rolling up my cuffs.
Quite a few people that are "into" denim and boots and such cuff their jeans to show off the selvedge on the outseam, not for practical reasons. However, a LOT of raw denim jeans come in a standard inseam of 32 inches regardless of waist size so oftentimes the cuffing does happen to be a help to the length of the jean. For example, I've got a 1" double cuff on my Lucky Legends Heritage 121 Slim Selvedge jeans, which are one of the models that come with a 32" inseam regardless of size. My inseam is a 30 and I wanted to display the selvedge so I cuffed instead of hemming. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Not sure, as I got them preowned, but they appeared to be unworn. They have the familiar Swedish military crowns printed on the inside. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
Cool for them. I just buy jeans at Eddie Bauer. They have a good waist:butt fit for me unlike Levi's. I've seen Tony Centano talk about selvedge. Seems stiff and abrasive.
+1. I am a denim head myself and I don't cuff my selvedge jeans unless they're too big. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
Wearing boat shoes at the moment, but may switch into boots if I decide to go anywhere on my day off. Probably 1460 For Lifes, though as I type that my Chippewa engineer boots begin to call to me. Yesterday I wore my Chippewa loggers. Had to have steel toes. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I have a pair of Irish Setters that are great for cold weather. They're really hot the rest of the year. The first few months I had them circa 2014, they were very cushioned. I guess they need new insoles because they're not very comfortable anymore. They have a black sole rather than the usual white one.
Grafters Sniper boots. Best boots I've ever owned. Inexpensive, comfortable and watertight I spent yesterday evening hitting them with some dubbin wax and a fresh set of laces because the aglets died on the last ones
..which are a cheaper, made-in-China boot, owned by the Red Wings brand, no? I have a weird thing about boots. I won't wear them if they're not made in the USA. I have Justin's, made in USA, Red Wings, USA and Danners, USA. Other shoes, I could care less. Just one of those weird things for me. There are certain things I want USA made quality. And I find there to be a huge difference.
