Just received my first pair from www.intelligent-armour.co.uk Lovely trousers. It was a toss up between the 5.11 Taclites and these (BLACK!!!!!). Went with the Blackhawks due to the waist slider...(I tend to expand off season when lifting & eating more!) Good stuff so far, and decent service from the company.
I think they are the best designed tactical trousers around. I much prefer them to my lightweight 5.11 (Which I get for free)
I'm interested. How is the sizing on them? Do they run loose in the waist, or tight, or "just right"?
I buy the same size I normally wear in trousers and find they fit just right. I did have one pair of the normal blackhawks where the legs seemed too long despite being supposedly the same size as all my other pairs so they could have slipped through QC.
I found the sizing on the waist snug but comfortable. Usually the back of tactical trousers/combats is too low and shows my crack at inopportune moments but the Blackhawks are just right. I'm going to order a pair in another colour after payday, along with a BDU belt (maybe the rigger style Spec-Ops one?).....maybe in OD or Khaki. How do the waists compare to 5.11???? The waistband slider in the Blackhawks is excellent...I assume the 5.11s dont have anything like that?
The company I ordered from were poor in my opinion. I will not order from them again. Also, the colour fastness of the material isn't so hot. Two washes as per instructions and there is a definite brown tinge to the black.
