It's already been mentioned but I love my Wilderness instructors belt! http://www.thewilderness.com/index.php?p=product&id=1585&parent=142 I've worn it almost every single day since I got it in 2010!

I'm actually on the fence right now. I really want a Cobra buckle belt from Chute and I want a sweet leather belt! Why dont the y make a leather belt with Cobra buckle???:D

Heh. I'm still waiting on a review of the Amish leather belt - if the buckle is solid steel and not just plated, I'm ordering one now.

I don't know if it qualifies as a Rigger's belt, but I bought one of the Ares belts with the 1.25" Cobra buckle and it's amazing. Stiff beyond belief, but I love it.

If OP doesn't mind I'd like to add on a related question: Out of the belts you guys have recommended which have the lowest profile/least annoying buckles?

I had some hernias fixed a year ago and being a small guy belt buckles tend to press/bump right where the mesh is as I move around.

Here's the one I bought for my EMT clinicals and what I wear to the station when I'm volunteering. In fact, I also use this as one of my primary belts to hold my IWB holster for my G23.

    It's cheap and very effective!

I ordered a belt from Kary at Endeavor Stitch works over a year ago. Have not received it yet. Emailed him twice, no reply either time. A $50+ lesson....

The 5-stitch Wilderness Tactical belt can't be beat! I used a Hank's Amish Belt until I got the WT belt, now the WT is all I'll use!

Ares Gear Ranger Belt everyday except when I'm in uniform. Then its a 215 Gear Ultimate Riggers belt. Both outstanding belts.

Wilderness 5 stitch or CSM. I love mine for every day use. I will eventually have a Ares belt, but that wont be for daily use.

Similar experience here, Kary has had some serious health troubles but is a stand up guy. Definitely shoot him a note to remind him.

    Cheers, Ted

While not exactly meeting the definition of a riggers belt, Filson makes a heavy duty leather belt that holds up well to just about anything you can throw at it. It is quite heavy, thick, and well made, and easily supports duty type equipment including a full size pistol.

    WARNING

Do not buy from Kary Welch of Endeavor Stitch Works for now! I'll update if the situation changes.

I placed an order for his belt and paid fully in August 2012. I have not yet received my order 11 months later - ridiculous considering the estimated 6-8 week build time on his website.

I have emailed him asking him for the status of my belt 9 times starting after the 2 month requisite wait, and posted on his website 3 times over the entire waiting period (all 3 postings unapproved). I've only managed to get him to reply twice - both times claiming a shortage in cobra buckles in the entire US, as well as promising that he'll ship by the end of the week. Both deadlines got missed. After emailing him that it'd only be responsible of me to warn people not to order from him, I got a shipping notification of "Electronic Shipping Info Received" in April. However, the package itself has not been shipped.

It looks like I'm not the only one having trouble with him:

    http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=102134 (scroll to the bottom)

I'd appreciate it if any one who knows him better is able to get in touch with him. I need to know if I'm being scammed so I can start looking for alternative belts. I've had to make do with crappy belts for almost a year while waiting for this!
