believe or not, it used to be under $100, as well as Caly3, Dodo, Lava, Adventura and bolstered Persians big and small. I really like only one knife, which can be found under $100 at most dealers. This is Manix2 LW with satin blade black scales. Unfortunately in now days not that many knives, I am interested on can be found under $100. Used to be many more.....
I paid exactly $100 for it on amazon a while back. I am thinking about spending a bit more on a PM2 tho now.
I guess that's like with every hobby. First the cheap(er) things are nice and interesting, but then this one or that one is just a bit better/cooler/fancier or just simply tickles our wannahave nerve. And of course inflation, dammit
No best, per se.... but a rogues gallery of nice sub-$100 knives. Don't think I've seen the blade shape of the mini grip on blue scales, dealer exclusive I suppose? Also, which do you prefer, the sheep's foot or the drop point blade? Brezinskie
Next on my list - Boker Plus Urban Trapper. Titanium frame, VG-10 steel, framelock, deep carry clip, flipper gent's folder under 85.
^ +1 Yep. Grips are the stuff. I've had a mini-grip in D2 for quite a while, and a few months ago picked up a full-size REI version with G10 handles and an S30V blade. Great ergos, great lock, great weight. The 154CM steel may not be the hot steel du jour, but it's a capable blade regardless.
