Won't fit in your keys, it's a belt buckle, but I love showing it off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One of my favorite openers: the Wera bottle opener. The beer is also one of my favs! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I use what's known as a bar blade. Flat piece of steel that looks a little bit like a large pocket wrench. Opens bottles the first time every time. One side has a traditional leverage opener, the other an open ring. If you never saw a seasoned bartender ring open a case of bottles in a few seconds, its amazing. Just YouTube or google it, its not as easy as they make it look. Its simple, strong and effective.
Bottle opener and Tungsten Carbide glass breaker.... that's a formula for interesting stories. ATB, Sam
I grew up in Passau, didn't know any Bavarians (or in fact any other habitual beer drinkers) actually used bottle openers . Good beer, by the way.
@ Sriracha I too use a bar blade a LOT of the time. I still have the one I used to carry from college when I used to tend bar.
Maybe not the most practical, but it at least has multiple uses. If you're confused, it works basically the same as this one: ...which also has more than one use, though its bottle opening abilities do wear out over time...usually faster than it runs out of fuel unless you rarely drink and smoke a LOT. Oh the hidden values of a college education..... Fwiw, I'm pretty sure my Microtech would work too....I just don't want to scratch the blade. So, I actually use the one on my Vic Rally's Phillips driver. Even if it dies, it's a lot cheaper to replace than a Microtech. You know....unless I actually have a machete on me. That one always gets a few laughs. Note: unless you actually know the technique, don't try the machete on your own. It's easy to slice a finger open if you don't know how to hold it. And, no, it doesn't have to be a machete. Any single-edge blade that's wide enough will work. And no, it's not the same technique as sabering a bottle of champagne.....which does work as long as you're careful and don't drink straight out of the bottle.
