The two Queen Curly Zebra knives together. You can see what I meant about the grain on the small lockback. Perish the thought that they were using off cuts for the smaller knives. Serves me right for buying on ebay. Not that it's bad but when seen with the Copperhead which is using the same wood...

My new EDC Scottish Tweed bunnet to replace my Irish one (seen in pic of me above) which has gotten rather out of shape from too many years of too much rain. Oh and something that seems to have fallen into my duty free basket while buying perfume for my wife (I didn't photograph the bottle of Archers Peach Schnapps that also fell in).

I have two bottles of the Aberlour 15 year old and the Aberlour Abunadh if that helps? :) Not sure my Scottish blood would allow me to like the Japanese malts, I know they have excellent reviews, etc but when I tried them at a tasting a couple of years back I came away with the impression that they were somewhat sterile in comparison to what I'm used to.

I should ask that the last time I drank Laphroaig was when I slightly polished off an entire 1L bottle of Laphroaig 10 year old as a Scottish wedding here in Jerusalem. Place was swimming in Single Malt. I flew to the UK the next morning after puking my guts up the entire night, on a flight which got delayed and then landed 3 hours drive away. They made us take a bus which then took 6 hours to do the distance. The moment I arrived I had to start photographing a wedding. You can imagine why I've kept away from Laphroaig for a bit. :D

    That Copperhead is looking good!
I love the handles on the Remington. What kind of wood is it?
Looks like a nice trip. Fantastic photos as always!

I saw today an article about the project "Sur-Fake" by the French artist Antoine Geiger and it reminded me of your smartphone project! His photos are of course edited and therefore less subtle. But it is an interesting approach as well and I thought you might want to check it out in case you haven't seen it yet!

The advertising blurb just says 'burl wood'. The main blade stropped up to hair popping quickly, the smaller blade is blunter, I'll hit it with the stones tomorrow when I have time. For the price it's a really nice little knife for ~$10!

Had a play with the Leatherman Squirt PS4 while I was in Scotland. Compared to my Style CS I didn't think much of it. More weight for tools too small to be that useful. I'll play with the Juice one day and see if it makes me think again about the Style CS, I doubt it somewhat. The Style is minimalist but works really well.

Just got my new whistle (picture a page or two back) 140 decibels, indoors your ears meet in the middle. Possibly the coolest thing (as a small child) which I have bought in a long time! :D Very much in my EDC bag now.

Finished up my first Clairefontaine notebook today after keeping a journal in it for 3 months. As you can see it's barely dented from being an EDC! You don't want to know what my Field Notes looks like after half that time and a quarter of the use. Shown with the Lamy Studio that did all the writing in it.

Oh and in case you were worried, I liked it so much I made sure that there were plenty more! :)

Remington Canoe shown because, well if the pen is mightier than the sword then it should be there to at least attempt to show it's face and, um, it was in my pocket at the time. :)

Difference between my wife's keychain and mine. Things to notice on hers, Sharpwerks prybar, SAK Classic in Giraffe print (GiraffeHooves), Eagletac D25AAA and of course, the Tardis! Oh and of course, the size! :) I offered a Keysmart but she doesn't want. :)

I may or may not have a bid on one at the moment.
Why doesn't your wife just put all of her key chain inside of the TARDIS? ;)
Everyone knows it's bigger on the inside.

I was behind a little blue car yesterday. It's vanity plate read, "TARDI5"... I guess someone already used it with an "s". Anyway, I was actually wondering if it was more roomy on the inside.

Question, how to burn the ends of paracord without inevitably having it spritz drops onto my hand severely trying my attempts to never curse?
