Ethos, on that note:
I have been meaning to post a picture of all my Benchmade Axis Lock models, here they are for your viewing enjoyment.
My BM North Fork gets some love today. Still in love with the Axis lock, and pretty much everything else about this little powerhouse.
First off, Lightnig - I can't get that darn narwhal song out of my head now!
Here's a few older Benchmades from my collection (except for possibly the green-handled 940BT, these are all limited editions or out of production):
top: 940D2CF, D2 blade
bottom: 1 of 5 prototypes for the 730CFHS
bottom: 710, the debut of the Axis Lock
Second from top: 771BC1-01
705-401, polished silver G-10
North Fork in its natural environment.
Nice one, I always have meant to pick up a Pumpkin Rift...
well, halloween is just around the corner...
You just love teasing me, don't you?
more like enabling you as tb says, lol.
yes, yes he does. And he has said that as long as I can remember.
My new Benchmade 903 Mini Axis Stryker - it's my second BM and I'm really liking it so far (after a week of carry). It's slim and light and sits in the pocket well (I basically forget it's even there). The overall level of craftmanship is really high, and the Axis lock works like a charm (both for opening with the thumb and for flicking the knife open). The 903 fits my hand really well, and the G10 feels great (I read about it being overly abrasive, but I guess BM listened and toned it down a notch). One thing I really love about this little knife is the blade shape - this drop point with the nice 3D profile just looks great from every angle. And there's still a lot of steel left all the way to the tip, so quite a sturdy profile, which I find great. I guess now the hard part will be resisting to also get its bigger brother...
Anyway here's some pics:
Is that Spyderco, the 2nd from the bottom, meant to be used as a tie clip?
(Sorry to ask that in the BM area )
Especially if it goes in The Little Knives section
Ah, the re-birth of the classic AFCK but with the Axis Lock. Nice one, nosuchagency.
Nice 771 Codeman, I like that model a lot. Don't see that many of them around anymore.
Here's mine, a 770 cf in bc1
