I have always wanted a Megumi, lovely.
This is about my twenty first Benchmade but only the fifth that is a keeper.
thinking about getting that one myself
I have been playing with it for over a year now every time I come across one, this time I just said yes!
Back in the day, Tom said he would regrind just about anything, and in fact has done quite a few BM.
Don't see too many around that's for sure.
No, he quit regrinds a couple or three years ago. I pester him about it a couple times a year, but no dice as of yet...
Lightnig, Tom still does regrinds, but is pretty selective, and limited issue. I picked up a regrind GEC Sunfish from him early this year, and he has recently done some ZT 0900's, right before Blade Show that were just amazing.
I know this is a BM thread but here is my Sunfish:
Hi I recently purchased a second hand mini Doug Ritter RSK1 and I have to say it's a lovely little knife. The sad thing is of course with our knife laws over here I can't EDC it but it's with my walking kit. I should be able to provide suitable reasoning for my carrying it then. I would like new scales for it but don't know where I can source them especially in the UK. I'd like titanium ones but can't afford to give a kidney having sold one already for Kifaru bags.
Scoman, congratulations on the RSK1. You will get lots of use and joy out of it.
With regards to scales, I would check out these two whom both work out of Germany:
Also, do a Google search and you may find more. Lastly, over at Blade Forums there are a few makers as well.
Ripp's Garage Tech (RGT) Has a set of titanium mini grip scales on sale right now I think. I have scales from him on one of my PM2's, they are very high quality and cheaper than the 2 German companies.
Cheers guys thanks very much for the help.
New scales for the Mini-Grip came Saturday, direct from Kevin Wilkins in Germany.
Coupled with Tom's regrind, a decent knife, is now a great edc.

I have about a dozen older benchmade knives but can't figure out how to post pics.
You can't post pics directly on the forums, you must upload them on other site (PhotoBucket, Frickr etc.) and than from there, post the link of the pic here. I have a Flickr account and recommend you make one.
