Barchak, can I ask what mag carrier you're using there? Gotta agree with Ares, at least for folk who are carrying daily. I swear by my Ranger belt, but the Aegis does look more aesthetic.
When I got my CPL a few years ago my daily leather belt was not cutting it so I picked up a 5.11 Trainer Belt and thought it was awesome. Later that year I picked up an S.O.E. 1.5" Rigid Cobra Duty Belt with Velcro liner and it is the bomb. LOVE the Cobra buckle, adjust the velcro once and you are good to go, no need to mess with it. Earlier this year I picked up the EDC version for use in smaller belt loops if I do not want to remove one of the buckles. More comparison pics and discussion of them here
Funny this just came up...I normally wear a Mission belt on a daily basis but just put in an order for a Slide belt about 30 minutes ago. They are both the ratchet belt variety.

I’d like to get a Skirnir belt with Cobra D ring buckle. Not for EDC but for geocaching use. Manufacturer’s image:
I have the same belt. I haven't looked for anything else since I started wearing it. I have the same belt. I haven't looked for anything else since I started wearing it.
I wear an Atlas G Hook belt from Volund Gearworks. It has the same stiffness as the cobra belts, but without the need to remove the buckle. It is more adjustable than other belts as well. Also, the buckle is small enough that I have been able to wear it several times through the metal detector at the airport with no issues.
I also wear a 1.75" tactical belt. I am woking at an airport and , because it is made of plastic, I don't have to put it off to pass the security check.
I wish I could give a brand, but I bought a handmade leather belt at a gun show last year. It's about 3/16 or so thick and super rigid. So far it's holding up my guns just fine. If you're still in the market, I'd check out any gun shows in your area and see what you can find.
I just picked up a Trainer belt from 5.11 Tactical, It seems pretty good so far. It's not quite as stiff as I was expecting, But it seems to do the job well.

I started with that and thought it was a huge upgrade from my Target leather belt, then went to the S.O.E cobra buckle and realized how bendy the 5.11 was... The S.O.E. is still stiff as can be after 18 mths of daily CCW and I love the Cobra buckle.
I got those three belts as seen, and that one I just had to have, yet both that one and other larger one I haven't really warn yet, maybe once or twice, I just keep going back to the smaller one since it's not stiff. I keep saying I just gotta break them in.. And yet winter would have been the perfect time since always heavy pants, unlike summer where that smaller one comes in nice.. JR
I typically wear a double layer leather belt for office work and casual. I have some from Filson and Coronado that I like the most. I also wear a ranger belt from Duluth some. The only time I wear a nylon belt is hiking, hunting or fishing.
