I have a recently purchased Bigfoot Gunbelts steel core belt. I just got my CCP in NY and my gun is in the mail, so I haven't had a chance to really test it. What I will say is that it is very high quality leather and very well made. It is incredibly rigid across the width of the belt but nice and flexible across the thickness. I've heard that the more rigid the better, but I can't help but think this belt is a little overkill (you can literally stand on it). It is really thick (1/4") which doesn't really bother me, but it could be a problem for some. I'll report back after my gun comes in and gets added to my permit and I get to carry it for a bit.

It's not leather, but I've been using a couple Liger belt for about 12 yrs now. It's not super thick like some of the leather belts, holds up well, & looks decent.

ill second the Hanks recommendation, such a great belt. They are tough and super long lasting. Best value in the market in my opinion.

I have the 5.11 webbed belt that I use with my Pure Kustom Holsters Black OPS PRO for my Sig Sauer p229 9mm with a 13 round magazine. Looks good and I don't think it appears "Tactical". Give it a try

I have a Beltman belt and a new AlienGear belt. Both are excellent quality. The new Beltman I just bought replaced my old Beltman that I used for CC for 12 years so I can say that the long term quality is great.

+1 on the Bigfoot gun belt. The additional thickness seems to help the iwb clips on my holster get a better grip, and steel core is fantastic for heavier guns. Plus fit and finish is perfect.

Bigfoot is a sister company to AlienGear. Their belts are the same. If you like them, I would check who has the best price at the time and go with that.

The belts offered through AlienGear are essentially the same as the medium weight Bigfoot belts, from what I understand. Personally, I think the heavy weight is more functional, particularly if you carry a heavier firearm.

I've been using a Bison Last Chance Heavy Duty for the past year. Holding up really well.

A good heavy belt is essential to support a firearm if you intend on carrying it anywhere located on your waist. I use a custom gun belt made by the same local leather shop that made my holster for my gun, the sheath for my leatherman and the sheath for my flashlight

Another vote for Hanks. They're light weight and stiff. Have used mine everyday since September of last year. I went by their guidelines for measurement and it was spot on. Only thing I don't like is their holes are a little far apart. Not a huge deal as I just punched a new hole and all is good. Definitely recommend. Especially for the price.

+1 on the Alien Gear. I just got one- what a difference!
I hang my SW Shield, phone and a voice recorder on it. NO sag. MUCH better than my old thick leather belt.
    Comes black or brown.
Spring steel core. 1/4" + thick.
    You can swap out buckles.
    About $60

Interesting about Bigfoot. Had some suspicion...

I wear an Uncle Mikes 1.5" duty belt everywhere except church. The duty belt will carry everything g you need and no sag ever. I've had mine for about 2 years and like it.
