What's odd for me. Whenever I grow a beard, women seem to hit on me a lot more then when I'm clean shaven. So the only conclusion I can come to is that women are looking for "men" and not "metrosexual". So being a modern shaven metrosexual man who is trying to look like they haven't gone through puberty is on the way out. This is definitely a drunk post but I do appreciate that women are liking the more manly aspect of having facial hair. Now we have to get the corporations on board.

Spiffy stuff beard balm is all some. Tames the beast, soothes the skin, and smells great too.

Get a comb from oldfamiliarcomb company and you've got everything you need.

And for those that say real men don't use "product" .... How's the hair, pits, and teeth look and smell? Those require products too my friends!

Take care of the beard ..... And it will take care of you!

I think I was the first to suggest that brush, but several others also used one. They're awesome.

The only thing I use is Honest Amish heavy duty beard balm. Its probably considered a wax, so as your original posts stated it is probably not your cup of tea. I started using this in Dec to control my rat's nest of a beard. First time I've every tried a product and so far I like it. I use is after I shower to help control the beard a bit. I don't put a lot in, just enough to help keep it a bit neater. I also comb my beard several times a day.

As far as washing it? Just regular soap. I switched from body washes of various kinds to Dove for Men soap. Its not harsh on the skin and I itch less in the beard area than before.

I've started using 100% jojoba oil in my beard.
good move! it moisturizes the hair and skin.
I don't get itchy and the beardruff is waaayyy down! almost non existant now.

The wife got this for me. Really don't like the way it smells, so I'll stick with the tobacco smell
