    I've only had my Fenix PD20 for a few days now and I ordered 12 Surefire batteries for it. I also purchased two of those orange, waterproof match containers from Walmart after reading about them on here, but I would like to know if I can stack the batteries directly on top of each other or do I have to seperate them with something? I never viewed batteries as being dangerous until I read some of the posts on this site, so I don't want to play around with them now or take them lightly (no pun intended).

    Are you gonna use them consistently? I know they generally have a 10 yr shelf life. Personally I found it wiser to invest in AW protected cells and a Pila IBC charger. When I venture out my lights have a *full charge and I know what to expect from them. Primary (non rechargables) are for emergency use IMHO.

    * Can top-off whenever I choose to.

    Yes, stack away. That's not dangerous as long as they can't short, but if it's a plastic container, that seems unlikely.
