I work in healthcare and have to be bare below the elbows, so no watch. I have a cheap pendent watch but I was wondering if anyone had any novel ways to carry my Suunto vector without just looping the wrist band round my belt loop.

    Thanks.

Big honkin' safety pin? I've seen nurses do this (my sister is one)

Amazon have a number of inexpensive watches on carabiners that could attach to a belt loop or such. They appear to be quartz so maybe serviceable at least during your on-duty hours?

Or maybe this is what you meant by cheap pendent watch?

I wonder -- can you use a pocket watch as long as you ensure the chain isn't just dangling down?

    Best I can think of....

I don't know how spendy you want to get but you could try something like this. I don't have any experience with the company other that I was looking for a similar product and this was what I came up with.

If you are handy with paracord you would fashion your own leash for the watch but in general it would involve removing the band and tying through the posts which may make it a pain to switch back and forth.

Something like a NATO strap on your credentials? The watch wouldn't come off. But a watch on a 'biner would be cheap & easy and keep your Suunto safe and sound (and not likely to become contaminated).
