Goruck GR0 that's my edc bag.
I felt bad that I had several Rush 12s and 24s that didn't get good use, and when a great deal on a GR0 came up I sold off most of my other bags for it. No regrets, I find it easier having one EDC bag rather than a few and having to transfer everything every time I wanted a change of bag.

Still have a black Rush 12 and a FDE Rush 24, but no set use for either of 'em yet. Thinking about making one into a BOB/car bag/72hr kit - may be the next project eh.

+1 on the GR0. Once you go GORUCK, it's hard to go back. I've got a Rush 24 that hasn't been carried in over a year now.

The bag at a Hilton today! Supposed to be an H4 Kato but capacity is limted so the Rush have to step in!

I've an old Dana Design that is still going strong. It's massive and can easily carry 70 pounds worth of gear. I liked it so much I got rid of my Kifaru!

    Six day packs by Arcteryx
Military woodland 3 day assault pack
Military multicam 3 day assault pack
    Military Alice pack no frame
    Arcteryx Bora 80
    Deuter Airlite 28.
Got rid of several military packs due to my aging back but still have the 3 listed. They will probably go too but reluctantly.

    tigz,

    Good question.

I definitely agree with you on the room and organization on the Rush 12. It's a GREAT bag.

I disagree the Rush 12 is more urban friendly. My black Rush 12 probably says "I subscribe to S.W.A.T. magazine" where my Coyote Urban Zippy says "I subscribe to Outdoor Life magazine." :) :) Neither look is extremely urban friendly, IMHO.

I spent a lot of money on the UZ and figured I better use it A LOT and wanted to try a more modular approach to organization, ie, swapping from EDC mode to Day Hike mode in about 2 minutes.

So far I like the lighter weight and flexibility of the UZ platform but I do miss the built-in organization features of the Rush 12 when using it for EDC.

    • Older North Face Recon - I've had this bag many years. Off and on its been my EDC, but currently it sits in the closet. I did come out for a recent trip to Hawaii (the late wife used it).
    • Tom Bihn Synapse 25 - current EDC. Great bag. The organization is top notch. With a few extra pouches (i.e. snake charmer and cache for laptop) it is nearly a perfect work/edc bag. My only complaint is that it can hold so much stuff and when it gets loaded down it can be difficult to carry. I wish it had an internal frame/stiff back and better straps.
    • Vanquest Javelin - used to be my EDC but now acts as the camera bag. It too went on the recent Hawaii trip and did well. I just don't like sling bags that much.
    • TAD Litespeed V1 - I just got this bag last week and haven't yet been able to carry it. My hope is that this will be "The Bag" and I can get rid of the Javelin and the Synapse 25.

Picked up my newest EDC drawstring bag. It was on sale at our Local Lowes store. (For those over seas, it's a hardware store) Made by AWP. Looks like they provide a lot of Lowes Baggage.

It's actually really nice canvas. And I was having trouble finding a good drawstring bag with extra pockets that wasn't overly - advertised. [IMG]

I have somewhere between 40-50 actual bags if I don't count pouches. I bought most, some were gifts and others are test/review samples. Some are bags that got retired and some never got used. However, current bags being used are...

    2. 5.11 Rush 72 - Bug Out Bag in my car
    3. Vanquest Falconer-27 - Bug Out Bag in wife's car (I switched it over to her because it was a lot lighter)
    4. 5.11 Triab 18 - Load out for rifle classes
    5. Range Bag (can remember maker) - Typical range bag for range visits and pistol classes
    6. Camelback Ambush - for trail biking
    7. 5.11 Rush 24 - Swag collector for convention and shows.

i use my rush 12 for daily edc.

i currently have a fieldline tactical (rush 72 clone, nowhere near as sturdy, though) from wal-mart that i use as a ghb/bob that stays in my truck. i really want the rush 72 so i'll be able to abuse it even more and know it will take it.

i also have a cheap, small duffel bag that stays in my truck. it has 2 full changes of clothes (1 each for warm and cold weather), including shoes.

Hurm... I'll List out the first 10 that come to mind. Not a comprehensive list. Just the first ten that roll up.

    1) 5.11 All Hazards Nitro: Double Tap: Primary EDC bag
    2) Hazard 4 Kato: Black: Primary Hip Bag/ Primary Smaller EDC
    3) Maxpedition Jumbo: Foliage green: Secondary Hip bag/Secondary, smaller EDC
    4) Hazard 4 Launch Pad: Black: Ipad sleeve.
    5) Canadian special forces 3 day assault pack: CADPAT (Canadian digital cammo). Use this for my primary Bug Out Bag.
    6) Fieldline Tactical Alpha OPS: Coyote: This is a 5.11 rush 72 clone. Not an especially good one but I saw it on sale for like $35 at Walmart and for $35 it's great. But.. it IS a $35 bag from Walmart. So.. yeah. Currently in use as a GHB, in the Van. Don't like the color. I live in the UP of MI. The only thing 'tan' up here is a dirty car in the summer. If I thought I could dye it black or green and not have the dye come off on what ever I put in the bag, I'd do it in a heart beat.
    7) Fieldline Tactical Roe Sling Pack: Black: This is a clone of a Maxped or something, but was cheep and great quality at Walmart. I picked it up and use it as my primary Tactical Baby bag for my daughter. Works great. This one is actually well worth the money. I forget what exactly it's a clone OF, but I remember it's about $100 and this thing was like... 20.. 25?
    8) Hazard 4 Ditch: Black: Sorta stands in as a "Fill in the gap" bag if I need something in addition to others. Currently unpacked but there should it be needed.
    9) Swissgear Zink: Dark gray/black: Uses to use this as a Hip bag, before I got the Jumbo or Kato. Now it's a back up bag, hanging on a hook. Great bag, but primarily a camera bag, i'd just pressed into service as something else.
    10) High Sierra backpack: Neon green/black: This is a back up "Dinking around" bag. If we're going on trips, say to green bay or something, I wear my EDC bag but I might pack this as a back up, for one of the kids to carry or something. Though they might be carrying a baby bag now.

I won an auction for a 5.11 Rush 24 this morning in double tap. I'm sure it'll factor in soon, but its not 'in hand' just yet. I only won and paid for it about 2 hours ago. It's still gotta get here.
