I have wanted ivory grips on a blued 1911 for as long as I could remember. I love Baer's hand fit and hard use philosophy, so I started looking. I managed to finagle my way into a TRS right after my first son was born. I've carried it stock form on our family adventures for the last 3 years.

With the birth of my second son, I knew I wanted to add something for him. After saving up and shopping I was able to find some Baer frame ivory grips locally. Got the chance to get them mounted up with some new grip screws this afternoon.

I really wish I didn't wait so long. They feel absolutely amazing, and look superb. They are smooth and feel soft, yet when you grab them they feel tacky and anchored in. I'm not worried about them holding up to carry and use, Ivory was used in the wild west for years. I also understand they will weather and yellow with age, but to be fair, so will I.

Looks great! Nothing like classic ivory on a 1911 . . . beautiful!
