Hey, this is supposed to be a judgment free zone.

I haven't even counted my bags, and I'm already judging myself. :(

Between sling bags and backpacks, I own at least 20.
Mil Spec Monkey, Maxpedition (about 8), Vanquest, Hidden Woodsmen, Pathfinder School bags, Rothco, 3V, Lemonbest (Chinese), Teton, Victorinox and some two or three unknowns. Don't even get me started on pouches and smaller bags/packs.

Off the top of my head I can think of 22 bags currently in possession which includes my actual camping backpack and Osprey Porter travel backpack but does not include duffel bags, dry bags, cooler bags, bike/kayak specific bags or general luggage.

I didn't think I suffered from this affliction until I began to mentally count them:
    1. Red Oxx Metro briefcase -- my current EDC
    2. Maxpedition Fatboy G.T.G. Versipack -- my hiking bag
    3. Mountainsmith Red Rock 25 -- the get-home-bag I leave in my vehicle
    4. No-name, cheap duffle bag -- my auto emergency/tool kit
    5. Kelty Haiku 4250 -- my backpacking bag
    6. Cheap suitcase -- for travel
    7. Outdoor Products Arrowhead internal frame pack -- originally bought as a Bug-Out-Bag...currently not assigned to any particular function
    8. Fieldline daypack -- not currently assigned to any function
    9. Old Kelty daypack -- backup hiking pack
    10. Patagonia messenger bag -- former EDC bag...retired
    11. Coleman Peak 1 external frame pack -- my former backpacking bag...currently and "extra" for family or friends to use on overnight treks
    12. Camp Trails internal frame pack -- "extra" (same as Coleman)

But I want more. I've been eyeing the Saddleback Thin Front Pocket Briefcase, trying to convince myself I don't need it. And I'm thinking about replacing my cheap suitcase with a travel backpack from REI or Osprey. And I want an EDC backpack like the Kelty Peregrine or Tom Bihn Synapse 25 to replace my Red Oxx when I'm traveling. And I want to update my backpacking pack to something more ultralight like the Granite Gear Crown V.C. And...

    My collection:
-3 hydration packs, 2 camelbaks, 1 MEC (which I'm converting into a bow hunting bag)
    - Deuter Future 32 (my dad bag)
    - MEC (not sure the model name) but it's got a nice big compartment that makes it good for a weekends worth of clothes
    - I also have a small MEC shoulder bag which is great for short trips to the park with the kids.

I really want an ILBE GenII. Which I plan on using for hunting and in the not so near future a set of Deuter travel packs with removable day pack for the wife and I (not sure what models yet)

Hi I'm feeling quite good now. I'm currently using a Victorinox day sack as a carry on/panic bag, but trying to compress/edit my kit down so that it will fit in a MOAB 10. I have a Rush 24 as a summer 'run bag' (BOB) and a Rush 72 for the winter version. Finally I have a Karrimor SF Sabre 80-130 as a hiking/camping/bushcraft bag. I've used all of them except the Rush 72 which is a recent purchase. Plus an old Berghaus Munro 35 which now holds our scuba gear. And a little karrimor day sack for day trips - I won't call it a 'man purse' but...:(

not enough. that's what i tell my wife anyways. my other line that tends to get some traction is they all serve a different purpose, like her many, many, many shoes. each bag has it's pros and cons so one needs to have many in order to have the right bag for the right situation. this argument has worked a few times, but i don't think that i have much life left to it. need a new argument for more bags.........

9 different types, one of each, the pile grows still.
1 is gym-dedicated but not edc. The others are "as needed" depending on haul, situation and wether it clashes with my overall look.

This does not account for luggage-bags.

I've gone through probably close to 30 bags and I've been lucky to have some amazing ones. But currently have three.

Osprey Quasar - do it all bag
Osprey Stuff Pack - for out of town trips used to stuff my clothes. I've only used it once.
Old Nike gym bag - bug out bag in my car. I've had this bag over a decade

I used to complain about all the purses my wife has until I looked at my bags. Now I keep my mouth shut. My collection is small compared to some on here, maybe 10 or so.

I honestly have no idea how many I have. I probably have at least 12 that are actually packed and in use (or ready to use). They are all different except for the 2 BOBs in our vehicles. The rest are specific to a certain activity, hobby or job.

The attic, basement and a few closets are flooded with bags I replaced, rarely use or just didn't care for.

Have more bags than I thought. And just scored a used black Rush12 that was filthy and smelly. A little dish soap and garden hose cleaned it up nicely. Addicted.
