I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between watches that function by means of the following movements:
    -Automatic
    -Kinetic
    -Perpetual movement

Or is there a difference? I know that self-winding is the same as automatic. Thanks for any elaborations!

As I understand an automatic would be a mechanical watch that uses a weighted off balance flywheel arrangement to wind the spring. A kinetic watch I believe uses the same principle to recharge a battery, hence it's a quartz movement.
