Um. . . . I posted a WTB thread in the Buy Sell Trade area here and over at USN, and just got lucky I guess -- extremely lucky considering that it's a damascus whistle with a tiger's eye in lay.

Joel, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Those Atwoods couldn't belong to a better guy. Congrats! :highfive: I'd like to hear more about the story that goes with that knife.

Also, I hope the new job works out well for ya!

Dont cry, Ian. At least you no longer have to suffer me constantly begging you to sell me one of yours. :lolhammer:

Ed, you da bird . . . um . . . da Man!!!! Thanks for the market research bro. :highfive:

The folder didnt come by way of a WTB thread. Just a bunch of nerve, a few "sell me your folder" PMs, and a whole lotta luck.

Rick, the better guys were the ones who sold me these pieces. This knife has quite a story. Not the one about how I got it, but the one about how it almost didn't see the light of day at all. You can read about it in Blade Forums here and here. Peter's got a cool NYPD Blue-type details about how it all went down.

Matt, Paul will have to speak up about that particular one but some had an indent with a matching bump on the sheath. The indent and bump were put there on those to help the sheath stay on.

Matt, I think DB is correct the dimple must be for sheath retention.

So did you get the evidence bag with the knife?  That would be really cool if it was still with the knife.  It would also be cool if you only paid $250 for it.  ;D
