The top one is an early Keyton one off in Devin Thomas Reptilian. (If anyone can help me source a bar of it, I would be very grateful!) It is the same piece as seen in Jaybee64's faveatwood pic in reply #10 in this thread. You can see how the etch has worn down after spending two years on the previous owner's keys, especially in contrast to the Keykutter. The bottom one is a Mike Norris Raindrop Keykutter. That one is on Peter's one of a kind page. It is gloriously close to perfect mint, with only one small Kydex rub mark. Aside from folders, these were my two ultimate Grails when I started collecting Atwoods. I never actually thought I'd be able to own either one let alone both! The Keytons are the most special Atwood tools to me, and where I have chosen to focus my collection. I have some other Museum worthy Keytons to post, and I will at some point, but these two really deserve to stand on their own.
Thanks for sharing that AWESOME pair...truely Museum quality Atwoods Souptree!!! :notworthy: uttahere:
Souptree, A little time in some acid will tune that one up back to the original etch. Love the patterns on both! opcorn:
Peter offered to re-etch it when I got it. I am still contemplating taking him up on that at some point but I do like it the way it is. It would be awesome to see it re-etched, but at the same time, something will have also been lost. I guess I'm a sucker for original history with all of it's blemishes. I might change my mind down the line.... maybe. I definitely wouldn't do it myself though. Not on that one!
grumble grumble nice score you punk I nominate soupy as curator of the museum  I hope there's gonna be a giftshop
Oh my goodness! I'm pretty sure kibitz is our Curator at Large. :notworthy: I still want to know who has the best collection of Atwoods -- kibitz or Peter?!! Will you grumble if the Museum gift shop has nothing but t-shirts and Strider bits on the day you visit?
