I got mine.
Updated the inventory pic today. Not included are a bunch more Sporkulas, a dozen or so beads, a Tipler and various pieces that family members are carrying.
I have to admit - the only piece I'm truly jealous of is that keyton.
The A51 mini? If I could have just one it would be it, but since I can't have one I'll stick with what I have.
Yeah, that's the closest I have to a Grail piece. Not even the A51, but one of the original keytons of any stripe.
There was a guy who bought one for $50 and had no idea what the current going rate was - he'd been rocking it on his keychain. Made me want to cry, but I told him anyway.
I would carry it everyday
Heh. Depends on the quality - if it was, by some odd miracle, new in bag, it would be a shelf queen. If I got a user, it would be on my key ring.
I suppose you have a point there. I wouldn't want to devalue a piece that bad. Finding a user would be awesome.
It's pretty much mint with card and bag. I paid quite a bit for it. I don't recall the exact amount. I have it written down, but I'd rather not be reminded.
When I first saw one I thought yep no doubt that is the one I want. Then I saw one for sale and thought that will cost me at least an extra couple hundred grand in lawyers child support and alimony. Decided I couldn't lose the family. Now if I had the disposable income I would be Iike a dog on a bone after one. Would still want a user though.
Out of the ones I have the new keyton and the tombstone are my favorite and I'm going to be happy with them.
No kidding. As much as I want one, I'm not prepared to saw off an arm, a leg, and hack out a kidney for one.
The only one that I have close to that is a Flat Keyton I picked up here on the B/S/T/ for $40 or $45 cheap.
I have the flat keyton as well - but there's something about the form factor of the original keyton run that just speaks to me. Or I'm having an attack of compulsiveness - either one is likely, really.
I think the A51 Mini Keyton is art and I mean that as a compliment. But, there are many, many other Atwoods that are more useful. IMO.
To be sure. But I have a thing for his pry tools - moreso than any of his other offerings. Of the Atwood pieces that have passed through my hands, the only ones I keep for myself (so far) are pry tools. I have a couple of other pieces for future investments, but they don't speak to me the same way the others do.
On the other hand, I could just be obsessing - I do that from time to time; it's a bad and expensive quirk.
I have an old Atwood with a Strider spanner on it.
Not even sure if it had a name back then or if it has a name now. If I post a picture can someone tell me what the heck it is?
Heh - we'll be happy to give it a shot.
Spanner Baby, I would assume sight unseen. Does it look like this.
Yeah, it looks like that but now that I've asked I'll be darned if I could lay hands on it...
I remember that it didn't do a great job opening bottles so it got put away.
I'm sure it'll show up soon and then I can get a picture up.
Brian_T I'd be happy to take that off your hands whenever you find it
