How does one effectively clean a straw, particularly a bamboo straw (especially if used for dairy products)?
Some of the reusable ones on the market come with their own brush - it's kind of like a bottle brush but straw-sized, if that makes sense. Just a rod with bristles on one end that fits into the straw.
So you have to carry an EDC straw cleaner brush for your EDC straw. How about soap & water to wash the brush? And bamboo is porous, how can that effectively be cleaned & dried?
For the titanium drinking straws there is such a small brush also but we don“t use it. We clean them in the dishwasher. But we never tried bamboo drinking straws.
The silicone ones I boil then scrub them with a brush. Bamboo being porous is why I stayed away from them. I know bamboo is supposed to be water resistant but not sure how they would take boiling.
