More people find it easier and less hassle to sell locally most likely. Apps like Letgo, Offerup, that kind of thing. No shipping to deal with, so less potential for lost stuff, and if it's cash no Paypal cut either. Personally I'm just a packrat. It's really hard for me to sell stuff I've already got in my paws.
joined in 2014 but since have really been dormant, FWIW i have perfected my EDC with alot of ideas off this forum
I been gone for a while, no reason just life got in the way. Posted a little back then. Realized I am still a edc-er at heart so here I am, back again.
I'm still here.. Just older.. This thread reminded me I have to get a new skinth.. Welcome back Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I’m an old school forum member. I joined up not long after the forum started. It’s changed a lot over time. More people now want to buy pre-made EDC gear rather than come up with personalized, innovative, DIY solutions. Still, there are quite a few people on here willing to find custom solutions and aren’t afraid to take a grinder, thread-ripper, or knife to their gear to make it fit their use.
I've been around a good bit. Don't post a lot these days, but still poke my head in from time to time. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
I'm pretty old school, I think. 2006 IIRC? I used to get in trouble on here rather a lot in the early days, and I think it got a bit too "cliquey" so I started spending time on the Usual Suspects Network and Jerzee Devils and some uk based prepping sites too. I STILL EDC. Recently went back to my old Maxpud Last Resort as my EDC bag and current blade is a SAK Champ. New additions include a Luminox Navy Seal watch which I alternate with my omega seamaster and a Cheapie cree led as my light. Wallet is still a THE Wallet from special ops and I still like my Maxpud pouches for subloads in my bag. It's nice to call back in every so often, though.
I came back to the forums today but frequented this place to look at new keychain setups. Joined in 2013, I believe. Funny it's my 666th post. I guess my wallet is prepared to go through some hell...
You should post your keychain setup and explain what adjustments you'd like to make. That way, we can all help you burn through your money optimize your keychain setup.
Old school shout out! Went from checking 4 times a day to reading about every 2 months or so. Kids, job, family, and finances are all reasons. That and the crushing disappointment of the second to last Flat Rate Passaround! Those were simpler times. Every now and then I pop in and see all the new things I can’t afford and don’t need, or to ask a question my old brain can’t figure out.
I've been around a minute, but not much in the past few years. Had a couple kids, reexamined some priorities, and pretty well solidified my EDC setup. Haven't changed it in a few years. I do fondly remember tinkering and getting feedback on stuff and having some good conversations with members, particularly @jag-engr . I still visit about once a year when I get tired of my pen or my keys poke me funny when I sit down, but I mostly just browse to see what new stuff I've missed.
Hey, @bleh! Good to see you around. Life does get busy. I know that mine has over the past couple of years. I know you changed around your EDC a lot back in the day. You should do a show & tell and let us see what you finally settled on!
I came on board in 2011. Caused some discussions, hopefully contributed to a few, and helped in the design/procurement of the first edition challenge coin. I visit occasionally anymore and hope to do so more. I will contribute if I feel it adds any value. This used to be the place to be. I remember doing a gift exchange, and one where we would send a package from one person to the next and each would take away and add to the box, that was fun. Not sure how much of that is happening anymore. Has anyone heard from John? Last I knew he wasn't doing so hot.
I haven't been around as long as some, but I did once have handkerchiefs for sale in John's shop (Eden Ranch Accessories). Speaking of coins. I still have this on my desk and fondle it quite often.
i was around many years ago, wandered off to other sections of the knife enthusiast internet for a while, and have wandered back here.
