Just got a few of the all stainless (well almost all, there is still some plastic on the case) G-shocks. They don't seem to get much love on the forums. Maybe it's the weight or just that they don't look like the resin G-Shocks. I really like mine though, they look much dressier than my regular Resin G-shocks. Who else has here likes the mostly metal G's?

I do! I picked up a black anodized G-Shock Aviator from Ebay just before my last deployment to Iraq--I've trusted G-Shocks for years, but the rubber strap has always been the weak point for me, so I pulled the trigger from a seller in Hong Kong, and wasn't disappointed.

I love mine! Been wearing it for years. They claim its Titanium. But I suspect only a few parts are.

Nice watch Kraid, the band looks like it's similar to the one on my ana-digi in the picture. What model number is that one? My ana-digi in the picture is a GW1400DA.

Thank you, friend! Its the GW1200BA-1AV.

I just found it on Casio's website. They say that its titanium highlights. That makes sense. Its not light enough to be all Ti. :)

For me it's just the opposite: a G has to be in resin.

I will admit I have avoided the metal/polished G's - for me my G Shocks are for wearing when I would rather not damage a nicer watch, so they are going to get bashed about at some point, and I just feel that the look of resin suits it a lot better than a polished surface that will show up ever scratch..

I once tried a PRG70T (Not a G but a Casio Protrek with titanium band and case) and I found the watch uncomfortable for me, it was "top heavy" (watch head flopping around), the titanium (and plastic) bracelet was too light compared to the big watch case it was attached to...

Maybe other G are better balanced.

I like mine, I have the MTG-310DA. Though I do wish it was a little easier to take the band off to make a paracord strap for it or something.

I got this one for father's day. The case is plastic but the wrist badn is ion plated stainelss steel. I'm liking it a lot, much better than the plastic wristband ones.

I've been trying to find that exact watch at a reasonable price. No luck yet but I'm still looking. Congrats.

More metal goodness! I was so determined to get a G-3110D for cheap that I bought two broken ones to make one good one, but actually I think I can round up the parts to bring that second one back to life too. The analog is a G1000D, my only G without a back light of any kind whatsoever and with no hourly chime, but I love it anyway.
