Old Skool bikers, like the ones I grew up around maybe... most "bikers" these days would just :censored: their pants and go running for the hills. A week later they will be selling their Harleys, cutting their hair, and deleting their Tivo recordings of Sons of Anarchy!!:rofl::rofl:

Love the Rhino. I have a Rhino 40DS, but its too big to carry. I might pick up a 200 one of these days, but one Rhino is enough to break the bank.

I carry a Glock 26, but my wife carries this LCR 38+P. She originally carried an auto, but she didn't like the slide and loading magazines. She narrowed her choice between the Ruger and S&W, but she decided she liked the trigger on the Ruger better.

I'm still considering an LCR-357 as a backup. I've heard .357s are kinda nasty in that gun, but the slight bit o' extra weight in the .357 version should make shooting .38s that much easier. Plus I could always shoot magnums if I want to. It's good to have options! I have an LCR in .22LR, so I'm already familiar with the size and ergos.

I have yet to take the class, but when I do this will be my carry. Early 90s Rossi M88. Yeah, it's not high class, but it's what I could afford and it's a Heck of a lot better than throwing rocks. I only paid $135 OTD for it, so I figure that's not bad.......

And while we're on the subject of classes, does anyone know why Illinois will give me 4 hours credit of the 16 needed for the DNR hunters safety course I took when I was eight, but zero hours for the 40 hour Firearms Course from the Illinois State Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board? Seems a bit odd.

Currently saving up for a Ruger SP101 in .357.

I carry S&W 642 daily in Uncle Mikes pocket holster. It wears Altamont Super Rosewood boot grips.[IMG]

Not a bad little pistol for that money (assuming it's tight), however, given my experience with Rossi revolvers from that time period (I owned a model 971 made in 1990 and model 720 made in 1993, neither held up well to even "moderate" target shooting), just make sure you stick with standard pressure ammo. No matter how much you want that new +P or +P+ defense ammo, it's not worth the risk of having that gun come apart in your hand. Take it from someone who almost lost a finger and an eye from a revolver coming apart in my hands. ;)

Yeah, I just read about your 50 AE experience. Not a good time. I kick myself daily for getting rid of my SW Chiefs Special several years ago. I loved that gun. Story of my youth.

I wasn't sure I wanted to carry a revolver, and I'm still not, but I figure whichever way I decide I can still keep this one for a woods gun or flip it and be out no money.

I personally think it would make great woods guns loaded with bird shot or lead wadcutters (it would last a lot longer). It's not like you are going to take on a big cat, wolf, or bear with a .38 no matter what's loaded in it.

It will get loaded with hbwc regardless, but yeah, I don't want to tackel bear with it. I'm hoping if I ever encounter a bear that they don't like the taste of poop.

Likely, I will shoot the 400 rounds of jacketed round nose Winchester white box I have and sell it towards an sp101. Slick little revolvers those rugers.

great to hear about and see these wheelguns. I will take some pics of mine when I can - I rotate a revolver in every now and then and am proficient with all of them. Options range from the lightweight Smith in 38 special to the 4 inch 45 LC Mountain Gun! I also pack along a Taurus 22 as a backup to the Colt or Glock, as necessary. Some folks have watches and pens and knives that they rotate through, I do pistols (well, I do the knife and watch thing too!!). YMMV
