they're strong enough to hold a dump pouch with mags in it: for easy removal to get that crap outta the way in transitions.

I also saw them at Target and Cabelas. I picked up a set before Christmas and now want to get some more for my laptop bag.

I found them at REI and also Office Depot/Maxx. They are everywhere!

I did not think to put on MOLLE.

    LITTLE QUICK QUESTION!!!
How well would these hold keys and fobs together on a carabineer or something?

It would probably work okay, as long as one end stayed above the wide end to keep it from sliding off. As long as you don't mind the process of removing it everytime you want to use a key.

Thanks Quix. Just wanted to know because right now I'm using rubber bands to keep my Atwood, AA Fob, Peanut Lighter, and Key together.
Yeah, it looks kinda ugly with rubber bands... looking for alternatives!

Well, if you want to try one out, I can send you the one like one in the picture. I have a couple of them, and I really only use one for my earbuds. I usually use zipties for everything else. :)

Not much. Mostly cables that reside behind the computer desk and entertainment center. All my laptop cables have velcro straps attached to them, so I've never needed anything extra to hold them together.

They're seriously a device of a million uses...right now i'm running them on the MOLLE platform, keychains (as well as A&P rings), and on chargers for my phone and tablet. They're strong as ever too!

My wife got me a slew of them for Christmas. The long ones (~12inches) are PERFECT for the orange outdoor cords that I store in the garage but never stayed together right. The small ones (~6 inches) are just right for iPad/phone power cords. I use the four inch ones for headphones. I describe them to friends as hard core bread bag ties.

I'd not thought of that use for them, but excellent idea. When I fly I tuck my car keys into my airport bag, on a key clip, but they bang together in there. Now I'm gonna rock the gear tie in the FR-1 to keep the keys happy and me happier. Nice idea you came up with.
