"tail cap post"? whats that?
"Posting" a cap is sticking it on the tail-end of the pen when you're writing, as opposed to holding it in your hand or setting it down. A lot of the solid metal pens I've seen don't allow for posting the cap.
ok thanks, dont care for the threaded type personally
The aluminum & brass versions are now on sale at Huckberry at a discounted price for the next 4 days... If anyone still wants one. http://huckberry.com/brands/289
Use this referral link to sign up (you don't have to, but if you do, I get 10 bucks for referring someone).
Mine came today!
And compared to the copper and titanium Embassy Pens:
I'll have a review in a few days.
I am still waiting on the order I have in.
I'm assuming that mine will be here next week.. Or they better be! I'll be leaving my job soon
I am really looking forward to making this my new EDC pen. It's seriously made to my exact specifications. I like having the pen in my front pocket. Ideally it's metal so it doesn't break if I sit or kneel (check), and with a good solid and tight clip (check), and it's made to the specifications of my - and many other peoples' - favourite refill, the Hi-Tec-C.
The only concern I have is whether keeping the refill in upside-down orientation for long periods of time (when the pen is clipped to my pocket) would mess with the ink flow in any way -- you know, gravity. I've asked around but no one's reported that being a problem, but they've also not reported ever trying that orientation.
In any case, I can't wait. (Of all the weeks for Canada post to be on vacation for a long weekend... grr).
Jon, any idea on what the price will be when you get them?
It looks like I will be getting 10 brass ones. No Aluminum available at the moment. I will post again on the price.
Thanks. Looking forward to it. I'm hoping you can also comment on how the refill tip looks/feels coming out of the pen body. Sometimes I find on pens that the ink refill tip either extends too far out or not enough from the body and it just looks unpleasing. I'm especially interested in this part since one of the other kickstarter pens previously offered uses the same screw tip part from the hi-tec-c pen.
I ordered one of each of these after the Kickstarter closed. I haven't gotten them yet. I know shipping would be after the Kickstarter group but don't know where they are with production. An inquiry went answered, but it appears they are starting to ship to the KS group.
According to an email sent to supporters today, the last Kickstarter batch of orders went out today. I'm waiting on mine with bated breath : )
I finally received mine and started writing a small review that became a not-so-small review, so I posted it in its own thread.
