That's awesome! I'm definitely going to have to pick one of those up. :roof:
The one I have is just the new testament with psalms/proverbs. It's actually a pretty nice bible, and God Bless the Gideons for giving these away for free.
I've determined this is going to be my edc bible, until I can find one that is about the same size that has a zipper that goes around it, or one that is waterproof.
Man I was just about to start a thread like this last week. Carried these two the whole time I was in the NICU with our new baby. The cross is made out of Damascus. I usually have a paracord woven lanyard attached to it.
I have a Bible I have had for awhile that may fit your needs. I think it was originally designed for members of our troops to carry. It is a complete Bible, relatively small (4.25"x 6.25"x 1") and even
has a plastic ACU cover. IBSDirect.com :luck:
I'm not a particularly religious man, but the idea of a damascus cross is very appealing to me. Ryan, sounds like you've got your hands full with a new baby....maybe down the road you could post some closer pix of the damascus cross for us.
I'll try to take some pics tomorrow ... in the mean time, you can contact ray at raker knives for damascus crosses: firstname.lastname@example.org
Found one I took when I got it.
I have a camo Bible.
I used to have one of those little red Gideon Bibles that I carried in my EDC bag.
Last year my 5 year old managed to "misplace" it.
This thread reminded me that I need to replace it.
Not a bible, but the Star Book for Ministers. Has a lot of bible passages and general info for performing sermons, weddings, funerals, etc. I guess I should carry one in my EDC bag.
i have a little green bible from my GPA when he was in the army, its a good size, nice and concise with all the prayers in it.
I keep a Gideon in a ziplock bag in my three day pack when I'm hiking and camping. In my truck console, I keep a Cato Institute Constitution and Declaration Of Independence. I once saw a military desert camo Bible at a gun show and did not buy it. I wish I had now. These items are good to keep at hand to remind us of the prices that have been paid for victory.
I found a real nice old New Testament bound in leather at a used Christian book store for $4.00. It's only .25" thick, and fits nicely in a pocket in my bag.

I have seen a bible like it new at the Christian book store for not much more.
I carry a 4X6 King James in my bag and have an e-Bible on the storage card in my phone. I try to read one or both everyday
I use the Mantis bible program on my Ipod touch and also have one on my blackberry.
I usually carry a leather-bound KJV Bible with a button clasp my wife purchased for me on our honeymoon. I also supplement this by accessing the following site from my internet-enabled phone:
Works well enough for me.
Here is what I carry it's really small.
I don't carry one in my pockets, but I carry one in my work briefcase everyday and it gets moved to my "woodsbumming" bag when I head out camping, hiking, etc.
This is the one I have... The Sportsman's Bible
I also have the complete New Testament on 16 CD's in the truck. It's read/narrated by the late Johnny Cash. Here's a link... LINK He has a wonderful narrating style, and perfect voice for the subject matter.
Just found my little red Gideons Bible, it managed to make its way between the mattress and box springs of our bed.
The only thing I can say is that a 4 year old was involved in its disappearance.
I saw a guy on the plane reading a book bound in aluminum....researched it and found it was the Bible. This site has them
