I was just wondering if anyone carried a balisong ed. oh and :worthless:
I carried that one during some week
And that one during some week too.
i carry generaly during 1 week or two the last balisong i produce before to send it in order to check if it's flip well
I carried also some other balisong, a fred perrin half custom, a pandayan....
I did for about a week after I bought it at a gun and knife show. But since it is illegal to carry one here in Michigan, I decided to put it away for home use only.
That and it was expensive for EDC.
Benchmade 32 morpho
it's less expensive than most of the custom knives and i know a lot of people whose use korth, marlowe, guinn, perrin, anso balisong or knives.
I carry mainly custom (which i produce or made by friend.)
If i take the time to make a knife i enjoy that people used them, and i'm almost sure most of the knifemaker have the same spirit
Bm 32 (and all the 3X serie) made great edc knives
And how would I go about obtaining one of your knives?
I love some of the smaller folders you make but I can't read french or whatever it is on your website.
I'm in the process of making my own Atwood look-a-like.
I've carried a BM 32, but it's disappeared somewhere.
I also carry a Bradley Mayhem now and then. Very nice blade and handle.
Now that sucks bro because I believe the BM 32 morpho is the best little balisong out there. Titanium handles, the blade is razor sharp and over all is my favorite looking balisong.
I got tired of my cheapo bali's locking mechanism failing or wearing out that I decided to purchase the BM 32 morpho from the gun and knife show. I didn't see anything I wanted the entire show until the very last table and it was his only balisong he had for sale. I knew it was destiny. Granted I paid about $20-$30 more than from an online dealer but hey, I wanted it now and it was destiny.
Let's just make it legal to carry now!
It's easy you PM me or there are some of my knives in Ben corner in the sale sub forum
Bad new for your BM32, i would be really angry if i would lose one knife like that.
The bradley is a great knife and even better build than the BM42
Are you sure balis are illegal to carry in MI? As best I can tell, it's ok.
I think I've read some where that anything over 3" which is most balisongs and anything that can be opened with gravity/cymtriphical(sorry can't spell it, probably not even close since spell check can't figure it out from there) force.
I'll have to ask my local law enforcement.
Thanks for the link though
I don't carry one. The state of MI made my choice for me.
i do now thanks to ben
I do own one, but I don't EDC it. Mine is like a stiletto design, matte black, with silent hinges, and a long narrow blade/thick spine that could easily reach vital organs. Impractical for "utility" use. It's really well-designed for one thing.... opening letters! (no, just kidding). It's clearly an offensive, first-strike, stabbing knife (like a Sykes-Fairbairn) so it would be really much more trouble than it's worth if the constabulatory caught me with it out in public. Therefore I leave it at home among my "curios and relics".
cool knives especially that small kiradashi one (love it) :highfive:
over here we aren't even allowed to own one
wish I could, I love the idea of balisongs
Nope, they open slower than regular 1 handed folding knives and are expensive for models of decent quality.
Fellow Brit? I also hate that law, almost as much as the law on knife locks.
We can buy training balis provided they cannot be sharpened which a couple trainers of unknown quality fall into that category and there are the novelty items like the baliyo and bottlefly but thats the nearest we can get.
From time to time I carry this one:
a couple of times a month i carry my BM 42 or my kit Typhoon, just for a change of pace.
NY is a grey area on balis, but i carried one for years, even before i got a badge.
