    Of their knives that is.
    As in, a list?
Here's mine, not including my multi-tools, card configurations, widgets, prybars, yo-yo's, etc.

(my wife can't ever see this)

    A123-Sanrenmu
    AB-11-American Blade Co., scrimshaw
    Baby Butterbean; white Sparxx-Case
    Barlow-Boker+
    Classic-Victorinox
    Classic Sterling-Victorinox
    Classic-Wenger
    Compact-Victorinox
    Excelsior Grade-Frost Cutlery
    Easifold-John Watts Sheffield
    Filmam 1-C
    GV-604-Sanrenmu
    G-605-Sanrenmu
    Hobo Outdoor Dining kit 1300-KaBar
    Iberica 2010-Filmam
    Iberica 2015B-Filmam
    Ladybug-Spyderco
    Manix-Spyderco
    Midnite Manager-Victorinox
    Morakniv 511
    Old Timer Minuteman-Schrade
    Opinel #4
    Opinel #5
    Opinel #6
    Opinel #8
    Paraframe Mini-Gerber
    Peanut; white Sparxx-Case
    Penknife Multi-Tool - Gerber (1980's)
    Roadie-Spyderco
Scallion by Ken Onion-Kershaw (notably my least favorite of the entire list. Don't even know why)
    Silver Knight-Gerber
    Extra Edge-Tekna
1-B with knife & fork on keyring- Filmam
    704-Sanrenmu

Like many others, I also have some which are largely unidentifiable, generic-ish or so old theyre off the radar....these arent listed. Nor are multiples of the same knives...yes, I need an intervention.

I keep this list in my smartphone...just.in.case.

Just a few random group photos. So, no, I don't bother keeping a list.

I could try but I'm afraid of the wife thing. It would be interesting to know.

I found a Kabar baconmaker a few years ago and thought, " That's cool. Where in the hell did that come from?"

I am no longer married...so, I'm good. However, a few of you look like you might have a problem. My advice is never to count her shoes, unless she counts your knives.

Funny thing about great minds... converging to a common point of view!

I'm putting together an overall inventory of my gear, pretty much using Excel. One sheet for the knives, to which I'm also entering the blade length (or in the case of multibladed knives) the length of the primary blade. Also whether it is PE or SE, and a few other characteristics. I really wanted the blade length just so that when I want to grab something that won't be a hassle, I can decide quicker!

    L'chaim!

GurbZ-comparing this list to the one you posted in the similar thread you also referenced proves that you've been busy and were due for an updated listing anyway!

I have an alphabetical list in an Excel spreadsheet with a separate table for Alox so I can keep track of which colors I have. I also have sheets for backpacks and bags with their contents, watches, pens, and gear kept in each vehicle.

I find it necessary to have a reference so that when I'm shopping online I don't end up buying multiples of the same item when I see a good deal.

I've got about a dozen knives, excluding the kitchen variety and most of the time I can't keep track of them. I try to keep one in each vehicle, a couple in the kitchen drawer and toolbox and usually one in my pocket. Sometimes I find one I've forgotten about.
I've lost more knives than I own, I don't know why but knives seem to be more easily misplaced than other tools, the only thing I've lost more of are combination wrenches. I'm guess I'm more of a knife user than a collector. I must say the big collections do look impressive.

I don't need a list to keep track of the 9 knives (including 4 kitchen; excluding steak and butter) that I personally own. I have found that any more than this number is gluttonous & bordering on hoarding.

I had a list on here a while back, but don't know what became of it. I have more than 100 and I've said it before, my husband and I have come perilously close to divorce court on my knife buying - he says I don't put the household first. I'm not talking a $200 knife - we're talking a $22.00 Kershaw! (to provide an example) I hate to get them out to count them because that would just cause bad feelings

Yes, I made a list of all my EDC type gear a little while ago on my computer. I wanted to get a full inventory of my stuff before I began downsizing to help organize what I wanted to sell vs keep and to track what I've sold. As for knives, I downsized to six total (four folders and two fixed), but then I recently bought one more folder. I'm still in the process of deciding which folder I'll sell off to maintain my six equilibrium. Here's where it currently stands:

    1. Southern Grind Spider Monkey
    2. Benchmade Auto Presidio
    3. Benchmade Doug Ritter Mini Griptilian
    4. Benchmade Large Griptilian
    5. Spyderco Salt I
    6. Esee 4

Usually it's the husbands who have to hear such things from their wives ;)
I'm a lucky one, my wife likes the hobby because I don't just buy a next one but I like to modify them, so it's a creative hobby.
And well, the number is below 20, maybe that helps, too, and maybe that as an Orthopedic Shoemaker I can keep her (small) shoe collection (and the kids' ones) in good shape ;)

What really sent him over the edge is when I bought the Kershaw Leek in three different colors.
