Not really. If it doesn't get used for more than a week of daily life out of the pockets or bag it goes. On person I only have light, knife, sak with Nano, and phone. Just recently removed MT and some crap from the bag until it's an adventure day.

i dont feel like i carry too much stuff. i really dont compared to a lot of people on here. i dont even OWN a lot of edc stuff. one or two options for each of my regular things. i dont really want to hoard stuff when i tend to only stick to one item, and switch to another on occasion

I reached that point several years ago. I feel much better and still equally equipped now.

I like mass. I have always carried lots of stuff and probably always will. Minimalism is overrated in my book.

I'm not the greatest minimalist either. I carry big gear. I need another Leatherman! lol

I traded off my Rebar and I miss it. That's what I was thinking of going back to. I do like bigger tools, but that might be a bit TOO big!

Yup, but I know the day I don't carry something is the day I'll need it. :/

I sympathise with the notion of only carrying the bare minimum, however I am wary of relying on a bunch of stuff in my car. At work my car is in the basement carpark of my building, a full three floors under ground. The building is built on reclaimed land and if the big earthquake comes the building is believed to be likely to sink several floors.

When the severe earthquakes occurred in Christchurch, New Zealand, my firm's building there was badly affected and their cars were unreachable for a week (and then they were only retrieved in the dead of night by ninjas-for-hire). No one ever got back into the working floors of that building before it was demolished because of the damage.

Sorry for the story. Short point is, I'm keeping a bit more than that bare minimum on me, and a bunch more stuff in my edc bag, and at work, I'm keeping a separate urban survival bag near my desk.

I find myself leaving the Leatherman Wave at home more and more often. I guess it's maybe the tipping point for me. I'm sure that the day I need it will be the day I don't have it on me.

I carry a lot more stuff than you do and I don't feel like it's too much. Maybe it's not how much stuff you carry, but how you carry it. Some sort of pocket organization system, like this or this, will allow you to carry more items more comfortably.
