You might be able to get the film, but there is no way to develop it anymore as far as I know.

I'd be surprised. The last place to develop Kodachrome stopped accepting rolls in 2012 I believe. Developing Kodachrome was a labor intensive process that used many proprietary chemicals and dyes that are simply not available anymore.

To be honest, I can't really see Kodachrome being a particularly good choice anymore...

Dwaynes (the final pro lab to develop it) did cease processing a few years ago now, but I believe there are alternatives - some B&W processes will develop it as a B&W film for example, and there may be diy ways of getting it processed as colour, but TBH that seems like a huge amount of effort to go to for what I can only assume will be a fairly variable output on very old film stock...

I would probably just stick to your choice in modern film ;) (though I do kinda want a roll or two to put on my shelf of old cameras...)

    Kodak Ektachrome perhaps?

It used the more common E6 processing (still quite readily available) and was very popular for a long time, though now also discontinued due to a lack of demand. Slide film is something I have never really used, but I do believe I have a few rolls of Ektachrome hidden in the box of film in my freezer for me to use when the mood takes me, though I will admit it has been a while since I have had the film cameras out...

Just got this little camera bag at a sale. I was looking for something small that holds a camera with a lens and little else that I can throw in to a backpack or whatever. Seems to do the job well.

How do you like it? Recently got a Canon 6D and am looking for a bag that holds the body and 2 lenses which are about the size of a Canon 70-300 L.

I started getting into photography a couple of years back, and really picked it up over the last year.
And I've kind of accidentally ended up with a bit of a kit collection:
My actual EDC camera - I started by using my phone, but wide angle lens and lack of proper zoom really hurt it's performance. So I dragged out my old point and shoot.
[IMG]DSC_0021 by A wride, on Flickr
    • Agfaphoto DC-1030s
    • cheap "hard" case.

Digital bag - If I know I'm going somewhere worth photographing, this is my go-to kit.
[IMG]DSCI0015 by A wride, on Flickr[IMG]DSCI0023 by A wride, on Flickr
    • Amazon basics large DSLR bag
    • cheap Blackrapid knockoff strap
    • Nikon D5300
    • Nikkor 18-55 f3.5/5.6 VRII
    • Nikkor 55-200 f4/5.6 VR with lens hood
    • yongnuo YN560 II flash, Diffuser and stand
    • Polaroid +2 macro filter
    • Amazon basics IR remote
    • Selection of spare SD cards
    • couple of microfiber cloths, one dedicated to lens cleaning
Film kit - I picked up an Olympus OM10 film SLR for a bit of fun. then my grandparents dug through their cupboard of old camera gear, and things...spiraled
[IMG]DSC_0028 by A wride, on Flickr
    • Olympus OM10, with manual adapter
    • two Zuiko 50mm f1.8 primes
    • Vivitar 100-300mm f5.6-6.7 zoom lens
    • Olympus flash unit
    • Second body, held together with tape
    • selection of film. all ISO200 cheap colour stuff at the moment
But the pride of my collection is this:

My grandad's old Braun Paxette. There's a lot of fun to be had shooting with a camera older than my parents.
And of course, it makes you thankful for proper auto metering. I had to re-compose the exposure tables somewhat for modern film (the included table was written for ISO 50 equivilant)

    For EDC, Panasonic GM5 + 15/1.7
    [IMG]

I switch to my Sony A7R II, for serious shoots. I use it with multiple Sony FE lenses and Canon full frame lenses. Shown here with the Metabones IV T adapter + Canon 40mm STM lens - very good AF.

Going on my second year as a Fuji X photographer having left my Nikon d700 behind in favor of the small and sexy little things. I shoot predominantly wedding and lifestyle photography and thus employ an XT1, XE2, 35mm 1.4, 56mm 1.2, 50-140mm 2.8, 18-55 2.8 and a 27mm pancake for walkabout stuff.

I just love these Sony Mirrorless cameras! I tried using a Nikon adapter with mine, works great but not AF yet.
