I carry a money clip from time to time...It's actually a silver Mexican coin that's been cut/engraved, looking similar to a Texas Ranger shield (badge). Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
I carry this leather money clip my wife bought for me. It has my initials etched on one side, and I affixed a smooth bronze coin to the other side. Never leave home without it. -JB
ive tried regular money clips and they work fine till you get down to a few bills, then they slip off. i tried this one day and it works great. been using it for roughly 5 years now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought this year's ago, when, as a musician, I was paid in cash. I only used it a short time, though. It's been tucked away for years. Pretty, though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
People actually carry cash?? I have 3 or 4 money clips. They probably get used at most 6 times a year.
I hear ya, my Dad consistently uses one. Most likely smart to use cash. However, I wish my nice Vic Money Clip would magically turn into something else, like a Wenger Pocket Tool Chest, or Cadet. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
@Tony Sal: do you mean the largish paper clip style? Often called a 'butterfly' clip? I use them for book marks. L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Thank you for posting that, @Moshe ben David. I have been eyeing them for a few years, and have been waiting to speak to someone that had one. Can you provide some feedback? How the tension, capacity, etc? Being brass I imagine it is easy to "reshape" if it gets a little stretched. For some background: I'm old-school, cash only and only carry 2 cards. When I came across the Money Clamp in 2005, I bought 3 of them. The third one just failed and am looking at these as a replacement. Any help is greatly appreciated!
@Holliday: I've not had any issues with the clip deforming. I guess I usually carry maybe 5 ~ 10 bills at most; given they are doubled over that means about 10 ~ 20 layers at most. The clip does hold tight, but I find it very simple to slide the clip off the bills and to slide it back on. The one thing with the black version is that the coating does wear way. I kind of like it; gives it a sort of patina. I do not mix cards and bills in the clip. So I always have a wallet in which are my cards and receipts as well as a small notepad. The bill clip is just for convenience in my front pocket. Happy hunting! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
If your a paper clip guy you will love the Broccoli Band made popular by one of the best series ever "The Sopranos". Don't laugh it works great....It will hold a made mans wad of cash (they don't use cards, there too easy to trace) and there tough as a mobster. Just go to the grocery store and buy some broccoli or better yet use the mafia method: when no ones looking steal one and your out the door off to the Bada Bing. BC
