You need a glowfob! The TEC ones are great, or you could make your own using glow powder/sand, and clear acrylic tubing kit. http://www.tecaccessories.com/Glow-Fobs I made my own from a kit. Filled with glow sand, drilled a hole for split ring, used Goop on the ends. It has been kicking butt and lighting up my dresser for years, the glow lasts 10 hours atleast. I see it every morning I wake up. Hey Eraser Dude,PM if you'd like some free glow powder in green or blue. Also, a pair of Silver Gripper tweezers

I always thought the spyderco bug was cute, but not sure how legal it is in the UK. (No lock, but one hand open?)
OHO is ok, as long as it doesn't lock and is under 3". The UKPK is a OHO, and is perfect within the confines of this stupidity
Doesn't work with something as small as the Bug, but it should work with the Grasshopper and I've tried this and succeeded with the Honeybee: Attach the knife to your keychain, grab the Honeybee/Grasshopper by the blade, then Spyderdrop it, or flick the handle outwards. All the crap on your keychain should be heavy enough for you to be able to do this successfully.
No Gerber Shards? At 6 bucks they certainly look like a good value. Got one on its way to me right now.
The shard is a nice tool but I prefer the artifact. The utility blade is very useful. Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2
