Hi guys, just about time to start my own thread, otherwise I would have to repair our washing machine and I am absolutelly not in the mood at the moment. Let's start with a general overview, will gradually go through the bags, organisers, etc. once the washer is back online. The black backpack carry around all day, it's the standard issue of our company you get with your laptop, so it naturally blends in perfectly. You can fit in 2 Notebooks and 1 Netbook including all accessories. The Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack resides in my car and contains everything to fight off a minor Zombie Invasion for about 48 hours. The stuff I have on my person nearly 24/7 I already described in my hello & welcome thread: - Various Cellphones + Bugatti Pouch (belt, right) - Leatherman PST (belt, left, 20 years old, mainly needed for the pliers, I still like it, cause it's slim, got a LM Wave in my EDC backpack and a Victorinox SwissTool CS in my BOB, both too bulky with all the additional crap needed along) - Kershaw Leek (clipped into front right pouch, affordable, great looking, slim EDC knife, mainly used for boxcutting in the office) - Zippo (little front pouch right) - Wallet (right back pouch, feel free to grab it, nothing left in there as I just ordered a Maxpedition Pygmy, Triad Admin and Volta Pouch to start Project Zombie Invasion Pack 2.0 - My current overstuffed Maxpedition Versipack Jumbo only holds a hatchet but sadly no machete) - Casio G-Shock (zero maintenance, radiocontrolled and solarpowered, just hang it in my floor lamp to recharge) - Keyring (left front pouch, TEC Accessories PicoPen with Fisher Space Pen Refill, SAK Classic, Energizer LED Hi Tech Keychain) - German Army Standard Handkerchief (left back pouch, large 50 x 50 cm, nearly as good as a Bandana, paper tissue within) - Toolring (right front pouch, Zweibrüder 7630-TB LED Lenser V9 Laser-Pointer, SanDisk Flashdrive, Wilkinson Nailclippers, Pillbox, LiteXpress Mini Palm 101, Böker Plus Vox Access Tool - love the Böker, finding new uses every single day, would not get one MOLLE Strap attached without it) Saturday Afternoon Couch EDC while watching the German Bundesliga: Probably gonna change slightly for the Masters in Augusta later, some American Whiskey maybe. .
Thank you artaxerxes. So, the washing machine is fixed up, let's have a quick look at my office bag, which is what I edc nearly everywhere on my person. The front and sides are practilly used as a tool compartment, the main compartment normally only holds my office organizer, but as the backback folds and unfolds very nicely, I even carried a 17" Acer notebook + 15" Dell Notebook + 10" Acer Netbook including power packs in it. The Maxpedition Triad Admin Pouch, which also holds my little edc samsung camera, is the only thing I need to take out and attach to my Versipack in case the Zombies arrive. Having 2 3" tacties at the back, I just unbuckle my Versipack and put it on there, so it just sits on my frontside and I don't have to put it on my belt, which I obviously could and sometimes do, cause it's something of a modular stand alone. Of course (as a former craftsman) I do have a fullsize toolbox (100 € range) in the cabinet at my workplace, which earned me "the looks" at first, but now everyone is quite happy about. Thx for the link, I could not get the board search to cooperate using terms like "workspace, workplace, etc" Considering the Bundesliga, I like it as a whole microcosm / show business. On the other hand, the way Bayern München is playing this season, that's something to be seen. Looking forward to the Champions League Semifinals and "the clash" of Spain and Germany once again. I am a big sport fan in general, I even watch Curling and Synchronised Swimming at the Olympics.
Time for a quick look into my car-bag, feel free to comment, always looking for inspiration. There are no Multitools inside, but I at least have 2 full size ones at hand (1 on person, 1 in Admin Pouch which gets attached) before I grab the bag. //edit: Missing in the pictures is a cheap poncho that rides snugly in the backside mesh thingy of the main compartment.
