It's too bad there aren't any smaller versions. They do look outstanding though.

I have been wavering over getting one. It's just the 25% mark up for the EU tax that stops me.
Might have to wait for a used one.

I am interested in the carabiners also. It was love a first site and I know eventually I will give in and purchase one. Still hoping I can come across a used one somewhere.

Pass. Way too much jimping, not enough holes to added rings and gear, stuffing it full of gadgets that are ugly (subjective I know, but I love my bottle opener and don't want a goofy opener installed on a carabiner). Too much money too.

Are there any machinist on this board who can make a carabiner? There is a market waiting to be tapped.

I love your opinions Willy. You're so descriptive and precise. If its not something that's totally you, you pass. I dig it. :)

All the custom cara biners I've seen are around this price point.

Also think the addition of prytip and bottleopener follows the minimalist approach to carry.

I know. That doesn't make the price okay though. I guess if they can get that kind of money for it, more power to them.

    I'm not a minimalist. I'm a coolist, and a simplist. :D

I can't see how you could grip it correctly to use the prytip.

Hmmm. I'll think I'll stick to my free Ti bar:)

    Looks goooood bit yeah, spendy.

I would never criticize price. I don't know how much work went into producing that product. I do know of alot of other products that require a whole lot less brain input selling for more than this. Of course you could pick up a home depot .97 cent biner.

As for grip for pry, I would imagine you would grip the carabiner wrapping your hand around the upper jimping and resting finger on lower.

    i'll take one for 50! :p
But seriously, I've been looking for some kind of carabiner/hook thing and I have a few favorites.
    Obviously

    The pickpocket :p
    Corter bottlehook
    Kaijin fishhook
Dave Reynolds D22 (good competitor, probably buy one of those over an anso)
and the Anso, but too darn expensive.

Did not know this was going to turn into a price justification thread. Let's see the titanium carabiner competitors to this item and what they're price point is. So far the only one I see is the Les George at 95. Not much in the way of design. looks like a straight up carabiner. I have contacted a metal worker about a design and the cost was pretty crazy.
I don't claim a sebenza too expensive but feel free to buy one.
