I want to pocket carry, loose in my pocket not with a pocket clip. Don't really want to attach it to my keys either. I'm looking for something small, in the neighborhood of 2-1/2 to 3". I carry a lot of EDC stuff already and I don't want the weight and bulk of a full size MT. The use will be general. For you guys that are experienced with different tools I would really appreciate some suggestions.
    Thanks, SC

Another vote for the Juice here, even though it is slightly larger than 3". I often carry my S2 and I'm very happy with it. If you decide on a Juice you should check out the older versions as well, in my opinion they are far better looking than the new ones.

I own but do not care for the Juice as an in the pocket multitoolbecause of the weight. I much prefer the Skeletool or even the PS4.

I love my leatherman style PS, so I don know a lot about other lights, but it suits my needs and is small enough to be carried in the coin pocket of my jeans nicely

Agreed. Also, the knife blade has been altered. Now it's a a little shorter and wharncliff shaped. You may or not like it for everyday uses.

I'll break the pattern. I have a LM Blast -- bought new when they were still in production. When in its sheath, its about the size of an Altoids tin. I often carry it in my pocket (the belt loop on the original sheath tore off or I'd carry it on my belt). Not sure what it weighs but I find it very easy to edc and sturdy. I really like it because all tools lock in place!

I'm told this model can be found on various and sundry auction sites sometimes...

As usual, some more information about your intended use and preferences would make it easier to give you a recommendation that will actually fit your needs.

Therefore, I am taking the liberty of asking a few questions:

    1. Which three tools/implements on the multitool do you think you will you use most frequently?
    2. Which tools/implements are you certain that you will not need om the multitool?
    3. Which other tools will you be carrying in addition to the multitool (dedicated knife, pry bar, bottle opener etc.)?

Leatherman Juice all the way, anything else is clipped to my pocket.

Then you have to make a choice. Juice S2 drops the unneeded corkscrew, but has no awl. The CS4 has an awl, but also a corkscrew. Neither has a blister pack opener, although that has never stopped me from opening one with another implement.
One of the frustrations of multi-tool shopping is that precisely none of them have everything you want and nothing of what you don't.
Kind of like life, itself, isn't it? ;)
