I know said the last would be the last for a while but I am addicted to bag making.

    Approx. 30x30x7.5cm

Zipped pocket under flap and inside slip pocket. Liner comes up about 10cm form the top of the bag and just folds over.

Bright colour lining makes it a bit easier to see stuff inside the bag and can be pulled out to give you a piece of high visibility material.

Molle/PALS on side and I will make a camera pouch to add to the strap. The 50mm strap is really comfortable.

Looks nice, low profile and it doesn't scream tactical.

I would love to learn how to do this!

I'd also love to see your set up. I have a hard time picturing how a person can maneuver such large stiff fabric around and stitch so many things together at the same time.

This fabric is not really stiff, it is quite easy to work with. The only issue with my machine is becuase it is flat on a table, I can't do bits easily like the lining on this bag. I should really get my wifes machine out for those bits.

    This is my one

Did you make this bag yourself? It is similar to the work of the Hidden Woodsmen, Malcolm Corderre. I have his French Trade Bag. If you made this yourself, do you sell any like this? I really love this bag.

Yes, made it myself. It is a similar size and shape to the hidden woodsman haversack. My bags are generally just for me and my family.

You have great talent, would you ever to consider selling one to me, I would certainly greatly treasure it - this is the perfect setup for me. Hoping you will give it some consideration, brother.

I am INSANELY impressed. Love the bag. I've made handkerchiefs and hemmed pants but can't imagine making a bag...

Since this topic popped up I'd just like to say I did get my bag and I DO use it all the time.

Of my many home made bags, I still use one of this style in the same green and a black version the most.

Someone gave this old thread a thumbs up in one of the comments and it popped up in my notifications so that's why I said it was bumped.

Where do you guys get your canvas to make these bags? Is canvas hard to punch through? Trying to figure out if I can get by with my current machine and not have to buy a heavy duty machine.

I use cotton duck cloth . I do most of the seams with an old White 782 ( I have 2) but I run some of the seams on a serger.

This fabric is about a 500/600D nylon from eBay. I use denim needles and you should get away with a few layers on a standard machine. You may possibly struggle if you try to go through a few layers of nylon and some webbing, then again you may be ok. Best is to get done material and experiment
