The Luminox 8000 series are very nice and in the same price range as the Marathon TSAR and they are both quartz. If you are going to get a Marathon, get the SAR or GSAR - you pay a bit more but you get an automatic ! I sold my SAR and I regret it. I like the MKII and I've been thinking about getting one. Please let me know how you like it if you get one.

DH: Stop it.... Will you just spare me? You are killing. My wife is really not happy about me mentioning another watch... And I've got myself a Rolex LV and Ball Fireman 2 months ago, a Pam 111G and RXW MM20 within the last half a year and a Sinn U2 when they launched it. On top of that, I have 2 Ecozilla (rubber and stainless steel) and a Casio TripleSensor.

However, these are the guys that's really killing me!

Great link. Nice to see that this watch has an ongoing thread. It deserves it.

    DH: Got it!

It's nice... Very glad that I chose this over Marathon. The price (together with the bracelet that comes with it...at no extra cost) makes this a good choice for an EDC watch.

Fit and finish are pretty good.

I like the Marathon TSAR but I find the dial a bit too busy. It's the same size as my rolex but they printed too many stuff on it. The latest version has "US Government" printed on it and I'm neither a US citizen or resident so that'll make it a bit weird for me.

No pics for now as the pics in WatchUSeek are better than what I can take. I, sort of, have a rep in Malaysian Knife Forum for taking crappy pics.

I'm glad I got a TSAR that doesn't have that on it! Not sure why they chose to do that.

The TSAR is the most ascetically pleasing and toughest watch i have in my collection and i wear it almost everyday.

i have about 4 of these and i have found them to be highly collectable

:iagree: My TSAR looks as pictured above, without the "US Government" logo. My M-16-II does have that on the dial, though.
