I carry a ss kubaton with the knife blade on the inside. It's a small, but effective weapon. (Though I've never had to use it).

If memory serves, those have a double-edged blade, making them illegal in most jurisdictions.

What do kubatons have to do with saps?

Anyway ... I was thinking you could take a long sock and fill the tip to middle foot portion with marbles/coins and put a strip or three of cardboard in the rest (to give it rigidity) and then duck tape the entire sock so that it doesn't stretch.

My wallet is a two section folder. One of the sections has a zippered pocket on the back of one section. I was thinking that if you fill the pocket with coins, you could use the wallet as an improvised sap.

I think the poster was suggesting it as an alternative to a sap.

Yes, I was suggesting it as an alternative, as to me they have similarities. Mine has a one sided blade. I was unaware that it was illegal. Wasn't trying to post anything improper.

I slipped a blackjack "frame" - spring with lead head - inot a coin jack, and it fit perfectly. Now you can have both - regular jack, or coin jack with just a quick switch over.

No problem, I don't think you said anything improper.

To see if your single sided one is illegal you have to check your local laws. Some places have some strange laws about concealed weapon carry.

I just mentioned the legal angle because some folks don't know and it could become a problem for them.

I like them also but I won't carry one because the ones I know have that double blade. I live in a very restrictive city.

Many laws don't make a lot of sense today but you can still get in deep you-know-what by violating them.

Carry a spare pair of socks, and a BIG bar of soap.
Both are totally innocuous, until combined.
Any time you sense a possible problem it should take only 5 seconds to put together a pretty effective weapon.

Plus you can wash the blood off your hands with the soap, and dry them with the socks! :lolhammer:

And your justification for carrying a sock filled with marbles and duct taped closed? "Officer, I was on my way to a marble tournament and did not want to lose my marbles"?

A bandana with a roll of quarters rolled up inside shouldn't gain any undue attention, then you always have some change for the snack machine.

Custom jobbies by Todd, the snap-sap get a lot of carry time and been through a few airport now with my keys attached, get a funny look from customs but they alway give it back :)
