Was there a mention of the size? I see that it's bigger, but I seem to have missed the actual capacity.

Dimensions were given in post #146, but they might have changed since then.

    Below are the dimensions.

Okay so this is what we got right now:

    Height, 20”
    Top width, 10”
    Bottom width, 13”
    Depth, 7” empty
Height of front compartment from top of zipper to bottom, 17”

Beavertail is going to clip onto the bottom 2 web slots and lowest 2 web slots ( we still need to test).

Just did a few minor touch-ups today. I am headed tomm to Bali to help launch IDPA Indonesia and I will be testing the new prototype for the other pack, the Urban Pathfinder. I hope by the time I get back next week I will be able to get you guys new photos of the final next gen Evade.

In the meantime I posted new photos of the U/Pathfinder on the A19 FB page but will upload them on EDCF shortly.

    Thanks guys........Helm

I agree. The Urban Pathfinder looks nice. If that looks nice, I can only imagine what 2.0 is going to end up like.

Two different types of packs my friends

Understandably the Evade was developed with everyone’s help here. The U/Pathfinder was essentially developed based on what I was personally looking for in a pack. I was looking for more a menswear / tech luggage look, without it looking too tacky!

Yes for the Evade but I got an issue with the new Pathfinder I need to resolve. Had a bit of hard time with it in Bali last week during IDPA.

    Woah!
That's fantastic Helm! I really like the removable panel concept. The PALS pattern looks perfect.....a bit of open space on top of the pals. This is such a great development for this project. It just keeps getting better.

What's on the reverse side of the panel? Will there be any sort of top grab handle on the panel? Perhaps movable handle?

I've been experimenting with the 5.11 covert insert panel (a bit flimsy) in the Evade for a while....

    These are great developments...
    Thanks for the update!

Two mount options here; using hook & loop OR the clips shown in the photos. The former is easy on & off but leaves the loop on the back wall that is currently plain. The latter is a bit of a challenge mounting since you have to align the clips and insert them simultaneously.

Do you think slik clips would work for those loops?

If you do go hook and loop, can you leave the internal webbing loops in the compartment? They could be really convenient for lashing things in especially if you’re not using the panel at the time

If the loops had a bit larger opening it would create more "play" for the gate clips to pass through, possibly? The web loops do seem snug.

Do the clips have to be removed from the panel before it is mounted down? I image they would have to be because of the hook on the back.

Overall, this would be securely mounted with 8 Gate Keeper Clips and hook velcro'd to the back wall. The panel is not going to be slouching or shifting. Hoping this works out for sure! ;)

Seems like for this application with fixed web loops the slick clips could not be passed through once the panel is velcro'd in.

I think it's because they lock at opposite ends. I often see the slick clips used with small sections of 1" webbing like in TAD's Control 1 panel. Also used in the Meridian systems which works if the loops have enough size and play, which Hypalon and pals attachment seem to have on the CP-M series panels. I do like how they use the slick clips with these set ups.
    ;)
