Hopefully you will still have it in the diamond rip stop? Out of three original ones I purchased of the the original version that was my favorite. Also glad to hear the water bottle pockets will not be mesh. The original design was perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Forgot that one. I ordered some new Diamond Ripstop. I really like that fabric. The inside lining will also be Ripstop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Thanks can’t wait to see the final production and thank you for taking the time to work with all of us. Forgot to ask, will the interior be a contrasting color to help see inside better? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes it will. Got a dilemma with the Wolf Gray......I was going to the inside in read Ripstop cos the contrast is nice but I kinda like the monotone look of wolf gray and gray Ripstop.
I really liked the old gray. Will the wolf gray match the Kifaru wolf or GoRuck’s wolf? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes it will, at least close enough. It was dye matched at the mill to match the original Wolf Gray from Arcteryx.
Love it!!! Stoked to see the Straps sewn directly and happy that the carry strap will remain in the original place
Helm, with the straps sewn in and the pack being taller with load-lifters; for those of us with a shorter torso, will the pack be able to ride higher on the back than v1.0? Right now with my v1.0 and newer straps, I can't afford the back sitting any lower because it starts to hit my junk in the trunk.
I know it’s already on its final stages but if it’s possible to put one of those D ring attachments in the laptop compartment to be used with a hydration bladder if someone (me) wanted to carry one when not being used for a laptop. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bobby, I measured the current one and compared it to the one and the different is 1.25". The way this is now sewn in, the pack does seat a little higher.
Chris, you think it is a good idea to put anything that can create moisture in that compartment? Especially if there is a leak of some sort? I would think it would be best to keep such a compartment dry as much as possible.
True. I guess it would be a pain if it leaked with the padded compartment. Just wanted to find more usages for that compartment when not carrying a laptop since it can takes up some room with the padded section. How about adding a port from the top part with a cover from the CCW compartment? Since that has a D ring at the top of it already? And maybe a drain hole or two at the bottom just in case? The one thing I'd really like is better access to laptop compartment. I wouldn't use it for a laptop and better access would be great. That's the one thing that keeps me from buying this backpack.
Chris, I don’t think you need a port for this. The opening to the compartment has 2 zippers. Depending on the type of bladder you’re using, I think you can guide the hose to a separation in the zippers at the top end and then use guides to hold it from the top of the shoulder strap down. I have some bladders here. Let me see if I can gin up a setup.
Unfortunately @flphotog the Evade was design with a laptop user in mind. We put a lot of effort and not to mention padding and frame sheet in there to protect the laptop. I absolutely agree that if you have no intend on using the pack for a laptop then it would not be the right one for you ‘cos you’re paying for something that you are not going to use. Apologies, wished I better solution for you to consider.
