Nice one. I just love the saw in an alox knife. It's very useful and it makes the knife just big enough to fit right in my hand. And yet slim enough to fit in my fifth pocket of my jeans.
I never knew the joy of using a decent bottle opener until I handled this. I can't believe how nice it feels to just lift the top off in one easy motion, first time everytime
That was one of the biggest factors for me choosing this one and I had the fear that without handling it, it may be too wide in the pocket. Actually its exactly as you say, really good size for the hand and perfect for the pocket. I've got one pair of jeans where the 5th pocket is exactly the right size, but on another pair the pocket is half as deep, slightly annoying, I may end up modifiying the pocket just so I can use it to keep the farmer in
Black was my preference in colour, but I couldn't justify the extra cost, especially considering I wasn't completely sure it was for me. I also thought the silver is perhaps a more visible colour to see if I dropped it whilst camping at night. I'm only 2 days into owning it, but the silver has really grown on me...
Wow Joost....that is just an epic alox group photo there. Very nice and I'm very envious. For awhile, the alox Electrician has been my favorite as I find the second blade much more useful than the can opener that I've never had a call for. But they don't come in red. And for some inane reason, I've always felt that the older Vic's are of just a bit better quality. But the rational part of me says that's likely . But you know how OCD we knife goofs are. So I had Syph create a red Electrician for me. And I'm also a fan of the easy open traditional knife pattern, so while Syph was at it, I had him create this for me. The EO notch is actually pretty cool and works quite well.
thanks, I also love the electrician, for the same reason. The second blade is so useful.. That solo is just plain gorgeous..
Two wonderful modded knives. Got to agree with you about the superior quality of older Vic's alox. Syph is an artist btw, in my honest opinion. Nick
