Anyone have any experience w/ this knife? I'm looking for a 4" blade that is light for EDC.
    Thank you.

As with its siblings, it is well-crafted. On occasion, I carry the SLB. My SERE 2000 is my nightstand sentinel.

No experience with it, but my main thought is I wish they would make one with a 3" blade.

I have one with honey jigged bone handles, so I can't comment on the weight (brass liners + bolster) but as quality goes its excellent

Al Mar makes the Falcon, which essentially identical to the Eagle series except that it has a 3.15" blade and a Mini-SERE 2000 which has a 3" blade exactly but is heavier than the Eagle/Falcon/Hawk/Osprey series. All blades in that series are AUS-8, except for the one Eagle Talon HD which is available in ZDP-189. The SERE series uses VG-10.

I thought of getting one. But around US-$250 for a blade made of AUS8 is a overpriced in my opinion. Instead I asked my friends to pool money for a Laguiole from the Fontenille Pataud manufacture for half the price and made of 12c27, which is a better steel imho. I also like the juniper scent my came with. ;) Have to admit that the Laguiole is not locking, but that was never a problem for me - even when I tested it for smaller bushcraft tasks.
