I forgot this thread existed. Wasn't the Leaf a Sumerian pattern? I would have to look it up. It could be confusing because leaf shaped blades are still made in the old double edge format. They are just not common.
I am fairly certain you are correct that they are the originators of that design, albeit with their swords. I do not know of any other common manufacturers who use the design, despite how sleek it is (IMHO). It really is a shame that it has lost popularity... Outside of Spyderco of course.

Oh dear me... Those are pretty. Now that I think of it, the leaf-blade is more commonly employed in throwing knives now. Forgot about that But those 2 are gorgeous. Wish I had that one on top!
Will somebody be kind enough to tell me what TLC stands for? As in "this knife needs some TLC" I dont recall seeing it in the list TIA
