It did! Pretty cool looking with the design on the spoon. Doesn't the spoon break when bending? I tried heating the spoon, not heating the spoon. They all died on me. but maybe I need higher quality cutlery. Anyway, thx a lot for the inspiration!
As you can see it didn't break I just bend it cold. Don't know about quality. They are rather thin though. I buy these tea spoons at recycling and second hand shops. Often they have a box with a lot of cutlery and to be honest... when I see something I like and think is useable I try to bend it a bit. Just to feel how it reacts. Just give it another try and show us your craftsmanship!!!
I usually rummage through those bins, and now I have another reason to go sometime next week. With regards to the Weizen, try Grolsch Puur Weizen if you like a hint of banana. Athink hint
Always nice going to those bins. Sure I'll try that Grolsh Puur Weizen! I have an open mind regarding eating and drinking
It's the small things in life, really That works for food/beverages and rummaging through bins I suppose xD
Had a get together with some friends. Grilled some simple meat and had a couple of drinks at the fire. Clay wooden shoe and a Dutch beer... how Dutch can one get? How Dutch one can get? Well one can use orange plates! Guess you've recognized the knife... Kershaw Skyline. I like the form, the shape of this knife very much!
If you google Dutch milk maid they all have pigtails. I was originally thinking Heidi, but she was Swiss it turns out And didn't have pigtails either so a failure all round there
That's true, although I have never seen an actual milkmaid. I think they may be creatures of myth.. I would have guessed Heidi had pigtails, too! It just fits. For what it's worth, I can do long pigtails and I'm Dutch. So there is some truth to your original statement.
cheeser and GeneralGlenn the two of you are very sharp and awake I'm going to sleep... the nightcap... allright, the nightcaps are doing their jobs... Beer, food, coffee and some liquor to finish the evening...
Up and checking latest activity on these forums before I go out to help the GF at her apartment again. Well during the moving and furnishing it came in handy several times. A basic set of tools. Just saw a picture in the 'random picture' thread and remembered how I came to this set. I was still a lurker awaiting approval, last year August. I saw pictures of this Wera ratchet set and had to buy it. If you're the enabler... you wll shure know... Got the screwdriver too, added a little Knipex Cobra and noname 'visegrip' and am set. Anyway I realy like this set of basic tools for the small chores in and around the house. Cobra and 'visegrip' neatly fit in with the screwdriver For today I'll be needing one of the powertools... you know how it is when moving in to new home, putting up decoration and stuff... Have to take my drill and must not forget spirit level, screws and plugs... extension cord... what else???
That Wera ratchet is a musthave!! Sounds like you guys had a great time at the knife exhibition. I want baked beans now!
