    Greetings Edc !
I am looking to treat myself with a nice watch with military looks but yet not too " rough " like some Luminox Navy models or the Maratac watches.. That's too much.

I was thinking something like this luminox F16:

    http://www.discountwatchstore.com/assets/images/luminox/9105.jpg

Budget - Up to 250~ would be good if possible ..

So far, that Luminox F16 really looks interesting.

Let me know if there are other options you know of !

    Thanks !

Nice watches ! But they most look like the Navy Luminox (too hardcore! these things are like abrams tanks ! )
Anything more subtle, but still tactical in nature ?

Hehe sure, I am pretty new to the forum but I can post some pics here tomorrow.

I almost bought the black/white one first but then I found the dual timer version and got it instead. Fitted it with the black Nato with the black PVD fittings. Looks soo sweet, I love it :)

    Thanks !
More questions if you don't mind..

    1. How is the build quality ? Does it look impressive and "expensive" in real life?
    2. Is the dial all cheap plastic ? (Logo, hands, etc all look very cheap)
    3. Would you buy it again if you lost it ?
    4. Orange or nuclear green ? :)

Did you ever think about good old Timex? They are inexpensive and have several models that would "scratch your itch". How about these two:

    http://www.amazon.com/Timex-T42351-Expedition-Collection-Chronograph/dp/B000SZMMXU/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1DNEWXF4IKYU7&colid=2J0M5S299N9CQ

    http://www.amazon.com/Timex-T497469J-Expedition-Trail-Chronograph/dp/B001SAGAUA/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I2BXXS8ZW0EEE2&colid=2J0M5S299N9CQ

I am considering both, but the features on the all black make it a real bargain at less than $60 and free shipping!

Also, yugster.com has a daily watch deal with big savings. You may or may not find military style but you may want to check them out and see if anything catches your eye. Here's today's daily watch deal -

I have the THIS one myself and it looks very impressive and expensive IRL. Nothing about it is cheap looking and nothing is plastic. Yes, I would want to replace it if I ever lost it. On the other commandos I would go for the black/white only. Looks more "tactical" that the colored ones imo and is similar to my brothers SINN (awsome watch, way more expensive tho).

Sorry about the delay on the pics, my GF took some yesterday but she hasn't edited them yet... Probably tomorrow.

edit: very nice looking lum-tec, never seen that brand before.

If it helps, the new batch includes a Quartz version (B4 if you want the PVD) that is $595 and in stock now...

The other watch I am surprised no one has brought up yet is the Marathon SAR watches:

    http://www.countycomm.com/tritiumsar.htm

Out of stock on CountyComm right now though for the Automatic $450 version. Pops up a lot on www.watchuseek.com classifieds.
