I lost my Fisher Space Pen. It was a standard silver bullet one, but it held some sentimental value since my father gave it to me to write my graduation tests.
What I liked about it: The size and the way it rides your pocket when capped.
    The Space-Pen features.

What I disliked about it: The weak clip, the writing was sometimes blotchy, my (rather large) hand started to cramp a little after long periods of writing.

    What do I look for:
-A pen that can be carried upon one's person even though there are no special pen-pockets (think bluejeans and hoody).
-A sturdy model that can be sat upon, dropped on concrete etc.
-A good clip. One that is fixed to the pen, not a snap on like the Space Pen has.
-As small as possible for EDC, as big as necessary for writing with size 10 hands.
-All in one piece, no cap
-No tail clicker, these tend to deploy in my pocket.
-a 'tactical' pen is fine, as long as it does not look like one at first glance
-I'd prefer lower budget (50 bucks and less)

a big plus would be if it blends in with my current edc which is loosely based on copper and carbon fiber:

    Do you have any recommendations?

I recommend you reevaluate your criteria. Two of them highlighted above eliminate 90+% of choices. You seemed to have no issues with the Fisher bullet, which is capped, so I'm puzzled what you are really looking for. Please clarify...perhaps I'm misreading what you're needing.

Cross X or Edge rollerball? (Edge is the older discontinued model)

    - pull to open
    - fixed, spring clip
    - non-tactical

Have you considered the Fisher 'astronaut' pen -- the AG-7 (and similar)? This is the actual original. No cap. Integral clip. Fit it with an F point Fisher refill and you'll find blobs are not an issue. But all the good things are still there!

One thing though -- these are more of narrow body than the majority of the 'tactical pens'.

    L'chaim!

If you could bump your budget up to $75, the perfect pen for you is the BigIDesign Ti Pocket Pro. Fits all of your criteria. Comes in either Titanium finish or antique black. Built like a tank. Fits an astronomical number of different refills. I absolutely love mine and use it almost every day.

The Fisher Bullet held sentimental value, not too much practical value. If that pen had a clip that really held, I'd consider getting another. But it does not, so I won't.

If my criteria did not cross out 90% of what's out there, I would not have to go to this place and ask the experts ;-)

Something like this would suit all my needs hands down - but it is around $150,- which is far beyond what I'd like to spend on a pen.

As soon as you find the perfect replacement your miplaced FSP will re-appear, then the decision on a daily basis will be which to carry!

Unfortunately, I can be 99,999% sure that it is gone for good.

I really like that one. How does it deploy ? By twisting?
Free shipping worldwide and the currently rather weak US$ mean it is not that far beyond my reach.

Yes, twisting. You can decide how far you want the refill tip to extend by how far you twist it out. It's a really smooth system.

    Videos here: https://bigidesign.com/products/ti-pocket-pro

$75 is a lot to spend on one pen, but this one is worth every penny.

Just noticed that if you sign up for their newsletter, you'll get $5 off if you order directly from the company. However I don't think they offer free shipping so Jetpens might be the better deal anyway.

Besides, if you order from Jetpens, you can throw a bunch of different refills in to try. Refills are generally one or two bucks and this pen can take almost all of them, including a Fisher refill which is my preferred ballpoint. For gel, I love the Pilot Juice Up refills, and the Uni Jetstream is a wonderful hybrid.

In fact, BigIDesign offer free shipping. Jetpens' shipping cost to Europe is a small fortune.

Zebra F-701 is not a clicker. That could be a contender.

Have a look on the Böker Plus Tactical Pen K.I.D. cal .50
I have the aluminium model and I love it. And I have large hands also. No cap, nice mechanism, sturdy clip, compatible with Fisher space pen refills, total length 4.3 inches or 10,9 cm, weight 1.4 ounces or 41 g, available in grey and black.

The aluminium models are approx. EUR 50.
There is a micarta model also and two more expensive titanium models for approx. EUR 100.

This really is a nice pen. I read about issues of it taking damage when dropped on a hard floor with the point deployed, that's what scared me off.
    Can you comment on that?
