I bought this jacket for everyday use, but after getting caught in a downpour when canoeing I realised just how well suited this is.

Please remember that the jacket is only waterproof from the outside in.

Any way, I have made a short video (just bought a new camcorder and can't leave it alone) if you would like to take a look:

Great review, Chopper! I swear by 5.11 pants, but haven't tried their jackets. I'll definitely take a closer look at the Sabre. Thanks!

looks good, im just a little worried as to how long the sleeves are.
Im 6'6 and 220ish pounds, and i find most jackets that are long enough in the sleeves and body, are also miles to loose around the body.

Im trying to decide between this and getting a Beyond fleece jacket made (which are built to your measurements)

My Sabre is an XXL, the measurement from the base of the collar to the bottom of the jacket is 30" and from the arm pit to the cuff it is 24.5".
    I hope this helps.

Length of the body sounds great, but the sleeves sound a little short.
I will hopefully be able to find a shop with one in stock in a few weeks, and try it out

I bought one of these for US$70 on a closeout deal.

I got a black Sabre in Large.

I'm 6'1 of slim-med build. The sleeves and general feel of the jacket are good though the jacket length is a touch short for my liking.

Great jacket for the price I got it for though.
