I agree. No one has said anything or taken a second look since I began carrying it. Almost disappointing ;D

I just ordered a Push Pack because of this thread, thanks everyone. It looks like just what I've been looking for, can't wait to get back to the States and use it. And the Diplomat Pocket Organizer to go with it, thanks LauraQ.

You'll love both items. I've been carrying them for a few weeks now.

A lot of excellent reviews on the Push Pack here. I am just going to throw mine in here, that way people don't have to use the search function.

    Enjoy.

This is an overview of things I carry. My EDC is still a work in progress.
Streamlight M3Tactical Flashlight, Blackberry Curve 8310, pocket bible, ASP baton, OC Spray, Gerber Multitool, Tide Stain Removal Pen, Notebook, Cold Steel Ti-Lite, eyedrops, Glock 19, extra magazine, earplugs.

This is a close up of the bag itself.

For the two pics above, these are examples of the customization options available

Pardon the Bic pencils, I was highlighting where Molle Gear could be added.

More Molle gear. Also, notice the thick padded cushion. It's comfortable.

Hidden pocket for weapons. Note the velcro on the inside. It supports 5.11's Back Up Belt System.

This is a pic of my Glock 19, using the Back Up Belt System.

Padding on the back makes it easy to carry heavy loads. There is a velcro strap where you can attach it to a belt. Although I find it to be a little clumsy. Your mileage may vary.

Using the Molle attachment or adding a water bottle could hinder your ability to draw a weapon. I pointed a flashlight beam on the zipper strap. I honestly intend to cut that off, and replace it with a longer piece made of paracord. Trying to unzip that small zipper would be a disadvantage if your life depended on it.

My biggest gripe. Being outdoors, if you carry anything sensitive or electronic, your gear could be in danger. According to 5.11, they did this intentionally so if you did get wet, the holes would drain out any water.

Overall, this is a good bag. It's not perfect, but using common sense, you can improve on this good design. The only other thing I would consider doing to the bag is spraying it with a polyurethane treatment to make it a little bit stiffer.

I'm still glad I bought this bag. At $50, it's a very fair price for a good, dependable piece of gear.

EDIT: Show more pictures of pockets

Look at the light. That's a hidden pocket on the Push Pack, held down by velcro.

First outer pocket on the flap

Top pocket on outer flap, good to stash items that are small and you need to get to fast like sunglasses or bluetooth headset

According to 5.11, you can put a tactical folder there.

Another area to clip something like a bic pencil. Notice the padded shoulder strap. It is removeable

    Hi All,

I am new to the site but I just wanted to say many thanks to hannism, panzer, LauraQ, and meganjoe for their great reviews and photos. I was after a shoulder bag and bought a Push pack based partly of this site.

I wanted it for two reasons. 1. As a day to day gear bag. I have a dog and go for a walk every day. And I have two kids; one aged 10 months, the other aged 4 years. Both my wife and me are shift workers and work in healthcare, she’s a nurse and I am a paramedic. So when my wife is at work I am sole charge with the kids. So I wanted a bag to carry a drink bottle, camera, wipes, and a few other bits and pieces.

And 2. I am a keen small game hunter. Most of my small game hunting is on farmland. Bigger expeditions I take a day pack but mostly it is just a couple of hours away from the car. So I just wanted something to carry my usual day to day crap and some clips and ammo.

I have tried fanny packs but never liked them. By the time you have a bit of stuff in them I find they don’t sit well.

Just to add my two cents worth. The Push is excellent. Its well made, has a handy assortment of pockets, and is a good size – not too big, not too small.

What I carry depends on what I am up to but can include:

    - Small first aid kit
    - Small headlamp and spare batteries
    - Digital camera
    - Sunglasses
    - Spare AA batteries
    - Spare memory card
    - Note book and pens
    - Wipes
    - Tissues
    - Small camera tripod
    - Spork
    - Ear plugs
    - Alcohol hand gel
    - Lip balm
    - Analgesics, anti-histamines, and antacids
    - Spare clips
    - Ammo
    - Victorinox Swiss Army Swiss Card

Not shown in the photo but also:
    - Energy bars
    - Water bottle
    - Detachable bipod for rifle
    - Knife
    - Glow sticks

I am right handed and wear it on the left. I can shoulder a rifle or shotgun and the shoulder strap does not interfere with it at all.

I have even taken it around a sporting clays course. My local one is a 60 bird shoot. I wear a vest with 25-50 shells in the pockets and the push easily carries another two boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells, shooting glasses, hearing protection, water bottle.

LauraQ -- you say it's not drawing any comments where you work -- can I ask what type of career you're in?

Does this bag have something that attaches to one's belt?

    Thanks

thanks for all the reviews/insights on the bag, this might just be what I need.

does anyone know if a dslr camera can somehow fit in there? I don't have a problem taking off the lens for storage. if not, will a 10.5x7.5 in laptop fit also? thanks.

Yup a DSLR will fit in there perfectly. I've tried it. Just add paddings for better protection...

Got one in FDE from Ghost Tactical (slightly used) for $22 and it is so much more convient than my Maratac BoB. I love it.
