1946 WW2 Collins&Co Legitimus machete

    Our adopted grandparents/family friends/neighbors gave me this machete because they are moving away in a little bit. As you might assume it is a massive gift and is very special to me. What I am asking for is advise on refurbishing it or keeping it as is. I do not know if I should clean up the rust and sharpen and shine it up or should I keep it as is. I am currently leaning towards cleaning it up but I would love to here you opinions and ideas[​IMG]

    i have no idea value or even if its worth a penny but i know CLEANING RUINS VALUE!!!! patina is a good thing!!!! one to manys shows say "if you hadent cleaned it, the value would be more."

    The picture only shows canvas. I would hold off cleaning it.

    do not clean it. no idea waht the whole thing looks like, but possibly put it into a box with desiccant bags until a specialist has a look at it....
